Benteke out?

I don't think that if Benteke left we need a replacement yet, if we continue with the 4-3-3 we have Eduoard, Mateta and Ayew as the one, Wilf or Schlupp left and Olise or Rak-Sakyi right, better to wait until the summer and see what develops, we are not getting relegated, so no rush

All depends what we do with Mateta really. But if we held on to Mateta he can be the plan B, and I'd be happy to back Eduoard in the CF position. Wilf and Ayew can also play in the CF position if needed. Personally I'd rather have a more mobile front line. In the background I'd be talking to Chelsea about the young striker out on loan at Southampton, see if they could be convinced to let him go.

If Benteke goes then we need to sign a replacement or have one lined up before he leaves. Injuries and or suspensions would leave us exposed.

Mainly because I'm still unconvinced by Mateta, Ayew has lost his way in front of goal and Wilf's not an out and out striker. And as I said, you have to factor in injuries and suspensions. From what can be gathered in the media, PV would want a replacement lined up before sanctioning either Benteke or Mateta leaving in this window.

Benteke is going nowhere. Roy liked him, SP likes him and PV likes him, more to the point he is under contract and does not want to go and live in Burnley where we will be the only black face in an all white team and may be subject to racist abuse especially if he keeps missing sitters.
