Would like to see Olise right, Wilf left and Edouard through the middle. Hopefully Eze gets his mojo back and sits in behind. Would help us mix the play up a bit with our possession-based approach. Brighton are very good at knocking balls over the top into the channels. With a bit of pace up front it would help us transition quicker and hopefully knock in a few more goals. We seem to get bogged down moving the ball too slowly. First 20 minutes against Liverpool last week showed the benefits of moving the ball at pace.

Play Wilf as centre forward. He knows where the net is better than anyone else and he’s got one of the hardest and most accurate shots in the PL. A game of opinions I suppose!

If we played Wilf down the middle, we got Edouard Olise and Mateta. Ayew, Rak Saki. Schluppie on attacking left midfield. So many options. If Wilf plays in middle I could see some real blue sky. He’s fast. Easily fouled. Good shot with both feet. Even heads well. Plus he is happy to chase and to fight for the ball.

It is. I was expecting worse back! I think you are right as he puts the ball in the net more than others up front do. If our captains (Ward is better than most) were in the refs ear more then maybe he might be protected rather than waiting for the next foul.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Heres a question for all the leagle eagles . If Wilf runs down his contract , then a few weeks later sign him up again on a new contract , does the Man ure sell on clause die when the first contract runs out ?

It's not technically his first contract since resigning from Utd. He signed an improved contract 4 years ago. I would guess the sell on clause is linked to his registration as a player, but like a charge on a house, only comes into force, when change of ownership.

If his contract expires and then we sign him we do not pay United a penny but as has been the case before if he renews the terms still stand. Why would we even want him once the deal runs out anyway he isnt worth hardly anything now
