what does 'Tekkers, JPM, Bats type player' even mean? Not sure Bats has ever even attempted to win a header. Ironically Nketiah and Edouard are actually quite similar type players, but Edouard is probably a bit bulkier. But both are fast, direct and good finishers. Yes, according to the injury list page Nketiah is out for 3 weeks, so not disastrous.

Bats is nothing like, Benteke and Mateta Yeah ok maybe not so much Bats but I just think we're missing more of a pacey CF who's not just a target man in the box and more of an AJ or Wrighty type with more movement and who ran at defences, which in my opinion is more Edouardo and not so much Nketiah
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong |

Personally I'd be pretty happy with either, but maybe that is desperation talking

I would prefer Edouard, although in my opinion Armstrong would have been better at the right price. Tammy Abraham would have been brilliant but we never had the budget for him. If we can pick up Nketiah for £10M then might not be bad business. Definitely not worth £20M. Brewsters confidence is shot - at £10M he wouldn't be a bad shout either as he has some potential but can't see that deal happening given sell on % and buy back clause Liverpool have allegedly got. All these options come with a risk. Think we badly need an alternative to Benteke though and sadly don't think its Mateta.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

Two teams, Bordeux and Rubin both now reporting to have bid for Edouard. Both supposedly 18m euros paid in installments through the year. Think this is more than we're willing to spend if we're still hoping to bring in a winger in addition to a striker. Hence why it sounds like we're pursuing a deal for Nketiah.

If there’s any truth in us being interested then around £15m was the expected cost. Again if true his reported wage demands would be hard for a French team to meet.

Sounds like Celtic are close to signing another striker (Georgios Giakoumakis)

According to some click-bait sites, this fella from Roma could be on his way to us on a season long loan.
