The statement is that a black candidate could be better than a white candidate.

For instance, if you had five candidates, their ability in rank order may be:

1) Black
2) White
3) White
4) Asian
5) Black

Apologies if it wasn't clear enough the first time around. I'm happy to edit it to make that point clearer.

Up to you , it seems I was the only one to pick up on your choice of words.

For what it's worth, I don't care who Sky bring in as long as I am entertained - I actually enjoyed the format of the show, hopefully I will the revamped version.

Effeminacy belongs in the fashion world but unsurprisingly it doesn’t in a tough physical contact sport.

I think Patrick Bamford might dispute that

It’s comments like that which deter people from different backgrounds going to football matches.

The colour of the crowd inside and outside Selhurst Park shows there is a problem with integration. The cause of the problems are complicated.

The fuss being made by some over the possibility of people from different backgrounds is incredible. It’s like reading a script for Borat in some cases.

So, you have an issue when there is a majority of white faces?
In fact, you have described it as a: "problem".
..........Interesting.

BTW, I'd like to announce that I'm openly heterosexual.

Have you watched mens professional football in the last 20 years?

Multi millionairs rolling around the floor like little bitchs every time someone brushes against them. Throwing a strop if they dont get a birthday cake.

I would call them girls, but there's no diving in the womens game.

This lot are far too over dramatic to be excepted by the gay community.

You really work hard to try and find ways of being offended. Maybe you should join BLM. They always think they are the victim too.

He's right though, isn't he?

You see it as a problem that Palace's fanbase is largely white males. Sky probably see that as a problem as well.

I am not sure why it is a problem - perhaps you could explain?

My interpretation was, the crowd largely doesn’t reflect the demographics of the surrounding areas.

People can argue wherefore and why, but factually I’d say it’s accurate.

This has been addressed before. It’s partly due to finances, partly cultural-including supporting local clubs, which a lot of ethnic minorities don’t do as much because the local team aren’t as good as the top 2. It’s money that has no tangible or material benefit which is similar to the local club v top 2 issue and it’s not cool to be going to football. Well not Palace or similar. More likely to be cussed for it or whatever the new term is. That’s why Arsenal were different. They were successful. But top club football can be very expensive. Sky isn’t cheap either.

Is exactly my point.

Not getting into why it is.

But local people going to games are the lifeline of any football club. The majority of people I know who go to games at Palace, Millwall, Charlton, QPR all originally come from the local area but have moved away. Now the clubs aren't attracting people who live in very close proximity to the ground.

In every place I've lived I've gone to watch the local team and it's always been something that brought the community together as a whole. London seems to have lots of fractured communities.

It's not great for the club or the community in the long run.

Why? Who is to blame for that?

(Tapping the desk)

This is either laughable or just naive.

One word. Numbers.

But how would these local people who might want to go and watch palace get tickets? The season ticket allocation is sold out (or was until...). I would guess a lot of season ticket holders no longer live in the immediate area.

Not a dig, genuine question.
