At my work meetings we also suffered from a POA (plethora of acronyms) that so it was fun to MUA (make up acronyms) or conclude it was a LOOB (Load Of Old Bollox).
The best part was these neologisms were never challenged since colleagues couldn’t admit not knowing what they meant. It was the same with imaginary precedents.
It’s tempting to think everyone else was doing this too but they were a bit too serious.
It was FITT (filled in the time) anyway.

Nice :-) and oh so true.

Sorry for TITLY (taking it too literally) but it should be It FITT, was is a redundant verb there.

Sky News piece on Boris appointing his new security adviser. [Link]

"The UK faces internal threats from the far right and dissident republicanism," says Sky's Alistair Bunkall. What? Did he miss the recent far left riots and the Islamic terrorist that killed three people last week? The thousands that are being monitored daily. Doesn't fit the agenda, does it.

No wonder Sky News is biased and holds a pro-EU stance. Adam Boulton, the Editor-at-large of Sky News, is married to Anji Hunter who was Director of Government Relations for Tony Blair's government in 1997.

They both were having an affair when they met. Boulton had to divorce wife Kerena who is the sister of former Labour Minister and environmentalist Peter Mond. Do you think he is a Labour supporter by any chance?

As was I after 32 tears of TCB (talking complete bollox) at their incessant meetings.
I only got caught out once, but not at a meeting, in an earlier job I received a letter from somebody with an impressive string of letters after his name and wrote back adding the letters MHHC after my signature . This gent had enough time on his hands to write to my boss enquiring what this abbreviation signified. My explanation that it was Member of the Hartley Hare Club was greeted with a sigh.

That’s the one. Luckily I didn’t have to provide evidence because I wasn’t actually a member and it didn’t occur to the Big Boss that a 19 year old Sex Pistols fan might not be that bothered about Hartley Hare.

'Fox News anchor fired over 'wilful sexual misconduct' claim' [Link]

Why is this BBC story about a (low level) presenter on a foreign TV news network of interest to a UK audience?

Well, the balding grey army in this house will definitely be fighting back.

Continually useless service from an outdated organisation that couldn’t be more biased about its own agenda if it tried. Scrap the fee for everyone, make it pay per view and when it only gets a few million a year in, then it will realise just how much off kilter it’s agenda is.
