So I said Tosun and have kept quite and just listened the abuse and people doubting my sources well you will see in the next week that I am right. I have said many times that I only pass on what I have been told some of it tends to be rubbish some has substance. Batsman is still on cards and very much is dependent on Zaha going to Chelsea in the Summer if not before. Walkers Peters is in talks but so are 3 other clubs so not nailed on but a possibility told we are working hard to get this done loan with option to buy however another club is offering to buy now. I’m also hearing we have held preliminary talks with 2 other clubs will try to find out more before posting as don’t want to be accused of anything. The person who questioned my ITK and Dom Fifield has not heard anything ask him now if he knows I bet he does in regards to Tosun. Which makes you no different to anyone else who posts on Transfer Talk, with the exception that most don't claim that what they post is any more than guesswork, media stories and rumours or wishful thinking.

Palace have beaten 3 other clubs including Brighton & Southampton to secure the deal. Not a bad deal to be fair. Not a bad deal???? Actually, 15 million is horrenduous. I'm not gonna name 20 right backs I'd bring, but I just tell you this: frommhere, in England, there a kid called Bogle who plays as right back for Derby. He is just 19 years old and has delievered in his 100.000 monutes career (at 19 years old!) 18 crosses which were turned in goals and has also scored 11 times. He is great going forward and has lightning speed. Club representatives have said that whievwr wants him will have to caugh up 10 million. Now that to me is a big proce, but for a 19 year old like him?? Totally worth it!! Now Walker Peters. He's also a toung lad, but not 19. He's 22,turning 23 in April. So not so young anynore. Had some runs on the right side for Tottenham and a few goal crosses, but only for a team which dominated the opponents. Besides Tottenham's first team, he has been pretty poor going forward. Just 6 assists and no goals as right back in 50.000 minutes at youth level (youth level, which is below Championship level A LOT). He won't be anymore dangerous going forward rhan Ward is. And that's particularly the reason why a better player there is needed. And anyway.....for 15 million??????????? These prices for players just because they come from Top 6 teams beed to be reassesed. If he were playing in the Championship, he would't be worth 0.6 million. There will be no re-sale value for him. He is no AWB going forward to draw the eye. Best case scenarion he will be a decent right back as Ward is and Palace will keep struggling mis-table in the PL for the next 10 years. This team will never overcome its position with such transfers.

I never formed the opinion that AWB was that impressive when going forward. At the end of the day he was a winger who never quite made it in that position and was moved to right-back.Maybe AWB will develop the attacking side of the game with more experience and in a more attack-minded team.

Tosun is aggressive with an eye for goal and is different to our other strikers in that he likes to run in behind defenders and get shots away.

This team will never overcome its position with such transfers. Fair points and interesting stats which as you say seem to be completely ignored in some transfers. Tending your way on this. I'm reading a book on thinking from a Noble Prize winning psychologist and one of the central themes is that base rates from statistics are basically ignored/overlooked in thought processes which in the majority of times is a folly. Okay the levels aren't the same in this case but the stats if true are hugely out of kilter on these 2 players.

Is it not worth a mention that Walker-Peters won the Under 20’s World Cup for England? I don’t know much about him but his pedigree is solid and there is enough evidence to suggest he has a promising future ahead of him. He has also shown he’s capable of providing assists, wiki states he actually provided a hat trick of assists vs Bournemouth. His current Premier League record is 5 assists in 12 games. No idea where Matteo is getting Bogles goal scoring record from. He’s scored twice in 58 championship games. Edited by Hudsoneagle (08 Jan 2020 10.49pm)

I read that Man U were looking to offload Timothy F.Mensah. I thought he did well when he played for us, and is a natural right back. Wonder why we aren’t looking at him? He’s a full international for the Netherlands ...
