I'm not sure their transfer ban allows them to buy players now under the arrangement they defer the move for two windows. My understand is they are not allowed to undertake any incoming transfer deals, deferred or not. It would have to be a gentleman's agreement type of thing and that always ends in tears. Parish should have always been aware Zaha could leave anytime , even when signing an extension to his contract. I honestly believe the latest rumour ! Although a rumour is the Chelsea interest is deal I can see happening . Chelsea buying Zaha and loaning back until Ban lifted. Pay the 60 mil and throw in Batman or ,and another. Everyone happy and we don’t have to rush replacement or disrupt team too much before the season starts .

So the only Zaha deal we might actually take - and is right for all parties, is unacheivable. Feck me this forum is depressing Edited by CrazyBadger (26 Jul 2019 4.39pm)

Interesting article titled "Crystal Palace interest in Clyne and McCarthy proves Parish hasn’t learned his lesson" How insulting to suggest we wouldn't get our £9M back for Sorloth, maybe not all of it, but at least 5%

Even if it were feasible a lot of assumption that Batshuayi would take a move knowing that we are offloading our best player. Sure there would be suitors for him better placed than us.

which is wrong look it up they can buy players but not register them to use themselves that is how it works just like if some one can't get a work permit you can still take them you just can't use them but can loan them. it's not really a transfer ban that is the simple term for people to understand it's a ban in registering players same happened with the likes of barca and they also exploited it by signing people just not registering them Edited by grumpymort (26 Jul 2019 9.27pm)

Interesting article titled "Crystal Palace interest in Clyne and McCarthy proves Parish hasn’t learned his lesson" I’ve been saying this for ages. It isn’t sustainable to constantly buy 28 year olds at market rates. You need to constantly pick up a couple of Meyer type signings annually and hope that one or two of them can be converted to profits a couple years down the line. Sad but true for us.
