BOOM . . . Doubt it mate, tho I did hear & I don't know how true this is, BUT, Sky have said they will air the final(now England have got there) free to air. Yes SKY announced that a few days ago, but they didn't at the time say what platform it would be on. I hope it's a better platform than the BT one for the 'Champions' League final!
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

From the BBC Sport website: Channel 4 will show Sky's cricket coverage from 09:00 BST before coverage moves to More 4 at 13:15 while the British Grand Prix airs on Channel 4. The cricket then returns to Channel 4 after the race.

I wonder if the BBC news tonight will give this world cup semi-final as much prominence as they gave the England v USA semi-final in the women's football world cup (which England lost). In short, one wondered if there was any other news in the world on that day. Why do you think they will, they don't give the same prominence when the County Championship is won to when the Premier League is won.

Let's have another Michael Vaughan rant to make sure we win do win on Sunday! Outstanding last 3 games showing we can cope with the pressure - lets hope its another one on Sunday. BBC probably didn't fancy having Sky sports commentary on their channels so left the rights to Channel 4 who have had highlights all tournament of course. Edited by Superhorns3 (11 Jul 2019 11.28pm)

Cricket is different to football as in the former it's the national team that is most important with comparatively little attention paid to the County Championship whereas in footie most people deem their club to be more important than the national team

I see that Jason Roy has been fined 30% of his match fee for his outburst when he was incorrectly given out. I would like to see Jonny Bairstow fined by Team England for losing England their review by stupidly reviewing his own dismissal when he was out without even bothering to consult his partner. Apparently Bairstow has a reputation for being clueless and wanting to review every close call when he's behind the stumps. I would also like to see Adil Rashid fined for making no attempt to sing the National Anthem. End of Friday morning rant

That not's fair Playschool was far more important than watching Gooch get his 300 plus against India. But you are correct BBC sports coverage came be quite shameful take the Open which I think the BBC has now lost. The BBC coverage for the first 2 days started at 9am even though the tee off was around 6am. 6 hours lost if you were a golf fan. As for horse racing the BBC only ever showed the top events at least ITV has weekly coverage. I think the BBC made a major mistake not starting a BBC sports channel on Freeview.
