I agree with the emerging consensus that "we already have 2 billionaires on our board and they haven't done anything bad or good" As such can we really say that taking over of the club American shareholding will result in a change in the day to day running of the club? I doubt it, if Parish remains chairman. And is that really such a bad thing?

The silliest thing in the article is " with a family member acting as translator " These days large Chinese companies use something a bit more sophisticated than a family member in large transactions. At least the article avoided the word " inscrutable " Wolves have done very well under ownership of China's Fosun Group which is a huge diverse multinational Edited by HKOwen (18 Jun 2019 5.26am)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

When people or companies invest into a new entity, they have a detailed business plan and strategy. I can’t believe the yanks strategy was to flip CPFC.

You have absolutely no proof that the defamatory allegations that you have made have any basis in truth whatsoever. There are many reasons why the Americans could want to sell up including a difficulty in working with Parish and in my mind that is far more likely as there is precedent for people leaving for that reason

To be fair to the US owners, they will have had to fund their share of our loses. We seem to be in a Catch 22, where we can't increase other income sufficiently without infrastructure improvements, and they seem to have stalled for whatever reasons. The alternative is that we significantly reduce our wage bill, but there's a risk in that of slipping out of the PL and, without the TV money, and with the significant drop in attendance that happens when we're not in the top division, we'd need a very generous benefactor indeed to make the long-needed improvements to both Selhurst Park and the training facilities. One alternative may be to come up with less ambitious, stand-by-stand improvements, starting with the Main Stand, that increases the capacity/hospitality without building the currently proposed mega-structure, and that can be achieved in a shorter timescale.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

They will be selling to realise a quick buck, as usual. Harris thinks in relatively short terms. Edited by bexleydave (18 Jun 2019 10.14am)

If they can turn a good profit now of course they would consider cashing in. Doesn't necessarily make them wide boys or point to a falling out with Parish.

As you rightly say I have no proof of my comments ( indeed fans are kept in the dark on most issues). I suppose I am just disappointed that they have given us very little in line with my delusions and yet will probably go away with a great return. I should not hold that against them and from a business perspective they will probably clean up and I suppose good luck to them if that happens. However,if that is the case, then as a fan I struggle to support their plan of action and outcome.

They have no emotional attachment to the club at all, it’s the same to them as buying a block of flats. That is why we are lucky to have someone like Parish at the helm, who is a fan.

Wrong on both counts. We made a loss this last published accounts. We have made a modest profit the previous two before that. If as expected AWB completes a move to Man U the next set of accounts are likely to show us in the black again.
