You cannot be serious, we were threatening a second goal for fifteen mins and had moan.u all over the place and you criticise Hodgson for one player on the pitch making one mistake to allow Young a free hit! I've criticised him for at least 4 mistakes. But there are several every week. There's two mistakes highlighted in your post.

We were on the ascendancy before Benteke came on. Mayer was a great sub because he should have started. We sadly forgot Young was on the pitch but up until that moment after our goal we were on top and moan.u were looking worried, Meyer needs to play at least 45 mins yes ..and removing Van Aanholt is never a good idea unless injured he and Schlupp are very instrumental with us attacking with pace.

I thought Schlupp was our best player tonight. I do agree Meyer is a different type of player who finds space and drives forward. I wish he could shoot Yes and he was involved in all the goals tonight lol and really should have done much better with one of the best chances with that header from Townsend's lovely cross, I like him because he gets himself stuck in and has a lovely pacy pass when he gets it right.

This was truly bizarre tonight, we played shocking until they scored twice, brought on Meyer who made us look like a different team, played likeBarcelona for 15 minutes and then Roy in his infinite wisdom decides to take off PVA and move Schlupp to left back. Was it 30 seconds later they scored down that side whilst Schlupp was still adjusting to his new role thereby killing the game? As good as Meyer’s substitution was, Kouyate for PVA was a poor decision. He should have moved Meyer to left midfield and taken Schlupp off if he wanted to bring Kouyate on. We showed for 15 minutes tonight that Utd were there to be beaten but we just seem to lack faith when we play them. Never mind, there is always next year!

For me the tactics have to change at home as it is just not good enough we have played 14 games at home winning 3 drawing 4 and losing 7 scoring just 10 goals and a minus 5 goal difference. We blame CB and soon it will be MB but the honest answer is we just don’t play to a strikers strengths. MB face when he saw he was being taken off said it all, for me tonight was a free hit and at 2-1 down we were starting to get on top surely that was the time to bring CB on and go 442 instead we keep the same old tactics then wonder why CB does not score exactly what service did he or MB get tonight. We have the best Defence outside the top 5 was missing 2 of the normal 4 and then with 10 to go take PVA off why what did this exactly achieve if he had taken PVA off to switch to 3 at the back and to play 2 up top then we would have shown some ambition in trying to force the game instead we stick as we are and still end up losing and conceding another goal. We need to start letting teams worry about us instead of us continuously worrying about them. The stats don’t lie something has to change at home the tactics clearly work away from home. Please Roy you have start Meyer at home as he drives us forward and if we are going to get the best out of CB & MB we have to play them together as 1 up clearly is and has not been working for sometime.

When we are mathematically safe the useless cost centre can play every minute of the remaining league games, but not FA Cup if we still in it. Hopefully he will put in a couple of good performances so we can get rid of him with a mitigated financial hit Originally posted by Tickled pink

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Schlupp was only one able to have a go the Bullies tonight, our defenders were too weak tonight and we missed Sakho!! Originally posted by cardiff eagle
Thought subs were bizarre today. SChlupp having a nightmare so takes Mccarthur off. Then when we're fully in control and dominating disrupts our rhythm and brings on Benteke for Batshuyai. And to cap it all off takes off a left back for a centre mid and they immediately score from the vacant left back position. So strange

does anyone have any footage right at the end of the game, when their player hit their keeper who drops ball in the net.. BBC says Benteke made a foul on keeper, I was there but I cant recall him doing that and all around me said independently.. that was an own goal. Did Benteke foul or was it Atkinson guess work? How come Atkinson doesn't book Sanchez for diving?

Team selection and substitutions have been a bone of contention all season. They were exemplified today following the arrival and subsequent improved fitnesss levels of Batshuyai.

Really disappointed with our play up to the second goal. Just played with no pace and allowed Utd to slow the game down and dictate how the game went? And yes, the PVA decision finished it for us. Sakho missing didn’t help as well. Worried for us without him for the coming matches :-(
