Walking through the main shopping centre of Bognorlast week, the London Road pedestrian walk way is filthy dirty and very unwelcome for visitors.

Apropos Bognor Regis,it houses a Butlins, and I can see the Butlins white buildings from my local beach if the visibility is good.My abode is some 11 miles from BR. I have heard a number of negatives about dear BR - I believe nearby Flansham is far better.

There are places in the south where if a dog has a tail it's a tourist and the children think knives and forks are jewellery but I shall refrain from naming them in case some hail from these parts and might be offended.

I have been ultra-critical of places in the south but will keep the names to myself for the reasons I have already given. "Oop north" I have been to places where the seagulls fly backwards to stop soot getting in their eyes so less salubrious areas are spread across the country.

A little suburb of Brighton named Hove has a number of undesirables roaming the streets. I was there on business in the Summer, early evening sitting outside a pub with colleagues, we were constantly being asked for money from what one can only assume drug addicts. The most odd one was a unwashed girl about 20, asking to borrow 95p. An amount which caused amusement, perhaps that was the price of some soap.

I recall an unsavoury incident with a vagrant in Hove, many years ago when this chap approached me as I was devouring some chips. The scruffy chap asked me "Have you got any scraps ?" and before I knew it reached for my chips with his grubby mits.It wasn't long before his jaw made contact with my clenched fist.I'm afraid you get these undesirables all over the country.
