Really feel let down over transfers, other clubs at the bottom are all moving forward while we are standing still which effectively means we are going backwards. We are desperately short of goals in our team, Wickham and Benteke don’t seem to be the answer neither have given the impression that they can fire the goals we need to get away from the bottom 3. A fresh face may well have been the catalyst to us moving up the table but the board don’t want to spend any money. I suggest this a bit of a short sighted view as we’ve been desperately short of fire power all season.

Thus far in this window there hasn't been much transfer activity in respect of the clubs at the bottom :

Cardiff - Signed Niasse
Huddersfield - Only brought in Puncheon who couldn't make our starting 11.
Fulham - Signed 32 year old Babel
Newcastle - No signings
Burnley - No signings
Southampton - No signings.

Probably advisable to wait until the end of the window, see how the land lies at that juncture and then pass comment.

Certainly not too many positive comments coming out of the club at present and based on this, supporters are of course worried, disappointed and starting to vent their spleens.

Evidence for the two emboldened bits above please?

An exodus of misfits in the first half of the month might indicate lockers and squad places are being freed up for more players arriving in the second half?

Oh, not necessarily then!

And we might end up with misfits on loan or on free transfers.

I sense that there isn't much faith amongst our supporters that the club will bring in players who will actually make a difference.

Seems that most clubs will not bring in any players, to date its the slowest January window EVER, apparently its the silly prices that agents and players(wages) that is putting clubs off.

I hope not as there wouldn't be much sense in shipping out our misfits just to bring in some more

By my reckoning, to-date only 6 PL clubs have signed new players in this window - total of 7 players.

It appears to me that Freedman is doing very little to strengthen and build the team either that or his skills in negotiations are poor . Isn’t it about time he left and we brought in somebody who can do the job he is paid for

I agree.

I think Roy is a good poker player.

Since Roy has been here, he has said the same thing. There is no big pot of gold. We are now into his third transfer window, and the poor sod has only had peanuts to spend.

Really feel for him, and any other manager, as has been proven in the past, would have walked away by now.

Totally agree, yet another inexcusable failure of a window with some 6 departures and no new signings as we flirt with relegation yet again, being just 3 points above the drop zone.
Time to get back to the office Mr P and smell the coffee.
