I see that we've done with "I'm a better Palace fan than you" for the time being and have moved on to "I'm a better father than you" now

Nope. I desperately want JRM to be the next Prime Minister and want that to happen ASAP. And in part it is because he does tell the truth, or at leasts shows less qualms about standing up for what he believes in than almost any other on the public stage at the moment.

And that is my wider point. The days of the smooth, say the right thing all the time, professional politician are now a thing of the past. I am sure that they will make a comeback at some stage in the future but as things stand, and with plenty of evidence to back it up, the public mood seems to be in favour of people who are willing to stick the metaphorical two fingers up at what is perceived to be conventional political wisdom. Corbyn, Trump, Brexit, Macron and so on are all the proof you need.

And did so with a smile on my face.

Because that is what a loving parent does. And an Alpha is always a loving parent. An Alpha is somebody who takes their role as a father to be the single most important role in their life. If you are willing to sacrifice your own life in their defence, what is a bit of piss and poo compared to that?

Or would you rather let your kids marinate in their own urine and feces because you don't change nappies?

Surely difficult to argue against this.

An alpha obviously doesn't read previous posts in the thread either.

I don't describe myself as an 'alpha' personally. I'm someone who understands that there is a significant middle ground between a beta and an alpha.

I agree with you, I'd change nappies. However, it's a free country and how JRM raises his children is totally down to him. Surely it's better someone like 'Oliver' picks holes in JRM's political views rather than make trivial personal attacks.

Can't disagree. Well it's down to him and his wife, unless it isn't.

Often, in life, being truthful can be damaging and harmful.

'The truth is rarely pure and never simple'.

We look for judgement and reason, that does mean being untruthful just careful.

There is no power like the power of silence.

LOL.

I would rather people think I was an Omega than let my kids have to endure a dirty nappy for a moment longer than they needed to.

The alpha who writes 'LOL'.

Busted.

Also, 'a moment longer'?

The alpha male regularly sniffing arses concerned that his precious children might have to endure the unthinkable.

Yeah, you really sound like one of the guys who leaped out of the trenches first when that whistle went.

If I had been in the trenches, my hope would have been that I would be the one leading the rebellion against the f***ers who made me endure such terrible conditions in the first place and pitted me against another man who had never done me any harm.

More than willing to go over the top of any trench you care to name but I reserve the right to decide who and what I am willing to put my life on the line for.

This is the problem with the entire political arena at the moment, from both the left and the right. Define what you are for, and then be willing to fight for that, rather than obsess about what you are against. Blind obedience is the choice of fools, be it to a flag, a political mantra or even something as daft as a stance on nappy changing.

Oh, the 'individualist' alpha.....fighting for your country is 'blind obedience' and any objections you have with the absurdities with war warrant uprising.

You implicitly criticise all those servicemen who did go over the top. They were lions led by donkeys for sure....hostages of their time and place. But without them we wouldn't have this country for ideological post modernist morons to destroy today.

Countries like China and Russia laugh at attitudes like yours....while no doubt hoping for your ideological expansion. In the past this country would have been over-run long ago with so called 'alpha' attitudes like you expressed.

I am very much a fan of individualism in times of peace but only within a culture of civic nationalism.....otherwise all you are is a place and time holder for a stronger more cohesive culture to replace. That's the lesson of history.

Carry on changing your nappies mate.
