I actually think it’s a good time to buy a player like this. He showed his value and potential last season, and his form fitness and £value has dipped this season. Once form and fitness have improved we have a hell of a player on our hands. Mind you I wouldn’t say no to Babacar! Meanwhile Roy seems to be going for a player like Eder who is a playmaker/striker. If the Eder deal falls through, then I am sure Palace have plans B/C/D in place....

Clearly a good young player. What he has done over the last couple of years at the start of his career shows that. Played well against big teams in the CL and has a wide range of goals from the air and from distance. A mid or lower table premier league team at this stage of his career is good for him, same as it was for Lukaku and Benteke at similar stages for them. I think if we can get him for around 20 million I’d be very pleased.

You never know with Scottish premier players. When your being out performed by Lee Griffiths, 20+ million’s seems a lot. Dembele’s career statistics are not too far off Garry Hooper just before he left the championship to play Scottish league football (and you wouldn’t pay 20 million for him) I don’t understand the hype with this guy. Did Ok with Fulham and had one good season with Celtic. I hope I’m wrong if we sign him.
