Probably because he resigned as leader of his own political party the moment it was clear the UK was leaving the EU. Arguably, if he had a plan, that he wanted to be heard, he'd have stayed on as leader of UKIP - the party that essentially obtained and won the referendum on the EU

His party has collapsed without him into insignificance from a position of genuine political contribution and power. From 3rd in a general election to now being back among the mickey mouse parties.

I'm pretty sure, if he's stayed on, UKIP would have won seats in the current government.

Farage's 'man of the people' angle is a repackaging of his own self interest. He wouldn't be the first politicians to go that road though, and he heavily contributed to the EU vote taking place so he's earned a place in history regardless of what he does next.

And for prosperities sake, divorced himself from any consequences. Unlike Boris Johnson, Farage's retirement, means even if the whole thing goes to tits, and the UK became a third world nation overnight, its not actually his fault.

Not cool.

What happened to Hedgehog?

He was, as suspected Delwboy. I think he assumed I banned him, as I suddenly had a lot of abusive messages about HOL and people on HOL, that just coincided with him being banned.

I've never trusted anyone who claims to be a patriot. Rather a patriot is something others should claim for you, based on your actions, not your demands.

The same applies to people who go on adnauseam about their values, how much integrity they have compared to others and so on. If you legitimately are something you don't need to remind people, because others already see those qualities in you. People who need to tell you what qualities they have, usually don't have them.

Thought as much.

Got to be honest, I'm not a fan of banning people for previous misdemeanours but in fairness, I don't know what he did before.

Yes, he can shout from the sidelines now without consequence.

You're not concerned that Corbyn might actually win an election?

I always find it strange when people threaten online.
Firstly it's nasty and second, you don't know who you are threatening. It could be a big mistake.

As for the Facebook thing. It's too easy to find people when they volunteer too much information about themselves.

I found you in one minute.

I hope that people would realise what a mistake that would be.

I reserve my concerns for stuff I can control.

I think its always a mistake to threaten someone, gives em warning, and lets them get their retaliation in first. As a rule, people who mean business don't threaten people.
