Sorry, I don't get all this 'give Jedi a go' stuff.
Has he even suggested that he may want to go into management?
Just because he was a great player/captain for us, it doesn't follow that he would be a good manager...Roy Keane anyone?

He’ll go into management. And he’ll be a top manager. Some people are born to lead. And Jedi is one if those people.

The club is going to change if and when we build the main stand and more plus a new training ground. Frankly I don't want to cling onto things when there's better moving forward. There should be doctors for this sort of illness.

I agree with you 100%. We need to appoint the best person for the role, and not because they have an association with the club.

How do you know who is the best option unless you get them into the club and give them a role to prove themselves?

Interesting statement that got me thinking...Is there a Palace DNA? What is "The Palace way"?
The old Palace way was viewed as being too good for the Champ, not good enough for the Prem. Not sure we want that anymore...

Modern day, its...erm...counter attack? Concede early? Im not sure, im not entirely sure how other clubs view us either to be fair...

Have to stress, not an attack on you at all, im just not sure what we stand for or what our DNA is exactly...

That might be your opinion, but it may well not play out that way. There are no certainties in life, let alone football.

We tried that with de Boer, that turned out badly. Going for someone with no Premier experience is risky for a club of our standing. We cant get the top level managers.
Going for ex players because you like them, with no experience at all, is suicide.

I see Roy going on for about three to five years before considering retirement. He has mentioned in interviews strengthening the infrastructure of the club, including coaching. Therefore, I'm sure he is thinking about who to bring in or to teach up so that an orderly succession take place.

Not saying I want it, but I too think Steve Parish would love Dougie to learn his trade from Roy and have the reins handed over at some point...

I'm sure Freedman would learn a lot from the highly experienced Hodgson but as for learning his trade,Freedman has managed in some 250 games so is not a managerial novice.

I don't think he did so well though, overall.
