One of the traits of the left is that they have to dilute any offence or action carried out by people they feel they have to support for political reasons. Similarly, they inflate any offence or action of people they do not support - usually white people who do not share their ideology.

No one is diluting what the grooming gang c***s have done nor have any less disdain for the crimes. It's funny how in response to my claim that crimes by Muslim groomers are given more coverage than crimes by white paedos you have accused me of doing the reverse. All I'm saying that the disparity in outrage in the press about the different crimes is an agenda, driven by xenephobia

The left does dilute what certain people do while inflating what others do in all sorts of areas as well as child abuse - an example is their attitude to IRA atrocities (diluted) as opposed to Loyalist atrocities (amplified). There are many other examples if needed to illustrate the point.

Yep, they create false equivalences all the time, especially regarding the terrorism area.....I think for some of them it's a heart felt if misguided desire to protect the sensibilities of peaceful Muslims and because they don't like unionists in NI because of British nationalism.....they are internationalists and anti nationalism. For others, they are just happy pushing false comparisons because that's the message from their political tribe. Edited by Stirlingsays (07 Jan 2018 5.05pm)

Another telling example of what we are talking about is from South Africa. The Sharpeville massacre of 69 people in 1960 is quite rightly regarded as a prime example of the oppressive nature of the then Apartheid government. Many expressions of disgust over it and demonstrations by the left then and now, many many articles, documentaries etc covering it, used in history lessons - quite right too, it should be highlighted.
