Interesting take from football365.com. They think the player has more control than the club given the circumstances.
Divorced...And LOVING it! |

Indeed, being reminded they spent all that money on Drinkwater, Bakayoko and Barkley makes you chuckle. Originally posted by kenbarr

I don’t think Chelsea will let him go, surely they can already see they might have one heck of a player. And an English one too. But if he and they did decide to sell. I’d happily have him as our only purchase this season. f*** it, use the loan spots to plug the other gaps. He’d be a great player to secure...

A very good article but to say he's got more control appears to be a flawed conclusion in my view. He is a CFC contracted player until 2021. They can recall him and sit him on the bench if they want. Unless there's a buyout clause or summat in his contract.

He’s a great talent and really made a difference when he came on.

I think he'll be too expensive for us after the summer. Most likely to sit on the bench at Chelsea for a year as I can't see them selling him to anyone else.

With any luck Dele Ali's thigh strain will keep him out of the Panama game. RLC has to start superb cameo appearance including winning the comer from which we scored. C'mon England

He can break through the lines with his size and power and agility. Lungare and Deli IMO are to similar to play together. Cheek I hope will have earned plenty more chances now. He’s the key to unlocking teams IMO.

That is a really good article, although it is perhaps built around a little bit of fact, some knowledge and a lot of supposition. There are a few things that come out of it: 1. If Palace can get a reputation for helping the best young talent from the top 6 to develop into Premier League players then that is no bad thing. 2. If Chelsea can develop a system whereby they take the best young talent, why can't we? After all we are supposedly in the top 20 richest clubs in Europe. 3. If we are going to help develop other clubs' talent, we need to make sure that we are doing the same thing for our own. As far as Loftus-Cheek is concerned, I agree that if we only sign one marquee signing, he would not be a bad one. He says that he wants to be playing every week and we have shown that we can give him that. Is it too greedy to hope for Loftus-Cheek and Wilshere on a free?
