If the other lawmakers agree, then it is. Plus, you may not have seen the other laws passed here which I have posted in this thread. Edited by Penge Eagle (26 Jan 2018 5.49pm) Ok. Do any of them involve forced collectivisation, re-education camps, state control of the means of production, mass employment public projects or restrictions on democracy? No? Not communist. Not by a very very long way. Do these new laws include: Punitive taxes on private sector entities and corrrsponding public sector investment? Nationalisation of power, water, prisons and transport infrastructure? Increasing access to health and justice services for the poor? Reducing education costs? All good left wing stuff. Nanny States are authoritarian. Authoritarian regimes aren't the preserve of left or right. I suggest that Cal may well be well left of somewhere like Texas, but that doesn't make it left wing. Is California run along the same lines as Norway? When it is, you've got me bang to rights.

Jailing someone for handing out straws is definitely authoritarian and the Democrats are left wing.

Jailing someone for handing out straws would be great, if they were handing out $1000 fines to companies for each and every piece of unsolicited plastic they used in packaging :-) Economic aspects ARE the left vs right ideologies, good sir. Have a good weekend, no more HoL as I'm keen to try and trade all these isms for playing a long game with Mrs G in the hopes of an asm later on ;-)

Errm now the definition of a ferret is that it is a domesticated polecat. So it's about as sensible as banning domestic cats (mustela putorius furo is to mustela putorius as felis sylvestris catus is to felis sylvestris). Irrespective of the political bent of the idiots that thought that up it's total bonkersness. (They are also not allowed in some other places, generally citing some specific locally-relevant reasons such as threat to endemic species or rabies control, but the only place where there is a valid reason for controlling the husbandry of neutered ferrets is New Zealand).

Clearly anti-ferret. No excuse for that. I hope you have written a strongly worded letter to the governor.

When America breaks up California will be one hell of an interesting place. They will have full license to go full on Commieforia.....and it would be fascinating to see.

California, the Democrat stronghold, full of whack-job lefties, where it's illegal to use a plastic straw but not to pass on HIV.

Are not water rates a tax on water which among other things ensure that you can drink what comes out of your tap? Supplementary question: so why does it taste so f***ing foul?
