Parish detractors are more of a threat to the club than Parish could ever be. If he decides to leave because of all the over emotional flak from idiots then we truly are in trouble. Parish has made a mistake with De Boer and everybody makes mistakes but this guy and his group saved this club and made the decisions that enabled the club to be promoted. People forget that we had no right to be promoted.....We were a middling spending Championship side. The Freedman era had some brilliant transfers in it. Most managers have little more loyalty to their clubs than players do. Parish is a fan who has put his money into the club, you don't get more loyal than that. Everyone has the right to criticise, but criticism of Parish needs to be made with the common sense that this guy and 2010 were the best thing that has happened to this club since the glory days of Venables. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Sep 2017 2.04pm) Agreed. I'm getting concerned the morons are going to get what they want and Parish sells his share and walks. We need a proper DOF who parish listens to, not a yes man, freedman, Brighty or any other former player.

He looked like a deadman walking during the pre match interview. But honestly thought the team played well enough for him to keep his job. We don't know what's been happening off the pitch. But still feel gutted he's gone and it's a total shambles with no porper comment from the club as to the reasons. If he was a complete knob in the dressing room / training ground then why keep him on for Burnley. It's a joke...

As it appears Harris and Blitzer pulled the plug then maybe some are overestimating Parish's importance and influence to the club currently. He may feel undermined by those two now anyway. Even a President only gets 8 years.

It that is true and it is Hodgson and its a done deal, then we are in big trouble s he could not anything even when he had the best players in the land at his disposal, this is madness as you rightly say, they will have to put bed in his office so he can have the odd 40 winks, to get through the day!

The American owners seem to have done more harm than good. Safe to say they have clouded Parish's judgement. Who's decision really was this?? We've hardly seen any real investment from them since their arrival, I'm sure we could have signed the players we have with our profits from the Prem since they came in.

So the guys who invested the three million to keep the club afloat were going to sell the land the club stood on if the club continued to fare poorly? A failsafe is only a 'failsafe' if you prepared to use it. As usual Kermy I think you make a misjudgement here. This was not a financially sensible decision.......2010 made some good calls and had a massive amount of luck. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Sep 2017 2.50pm)

I have a strong feeling that de Boer wasn't our first choice in any case. No faith in the running of this club.

We have been punching above our weight for 4+ seasons in the Prem so everyone should just chill out! We gate crashed the prem through the play offs and have struggled a bit ... with the exception of an FA cup final and a mid table finish. We can not expect more than that currently and SP should not be scape goated for what has just happened as none us know what went on behind the scenes! I can't believe for a minute that SP & co would not have given FDB more time after y'days performance so something else must have been going on ... it's that simple!
