This was the one I was expecting us to lose, tbh, but not lose Sakho, s***, first half we did well, combination of losing Sakho and being too tired, no shame in that loss, just hope the players realise that and it isn't too big a knock on their confidence. Really think Hennessey is going to be an excellent number 2 keeper though, we need to start looking for someone else, he did well for a bit, but you just know he's going to let one in under pressure.
Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot. |

Hindsight we probably should have made more changes. Think we started to tire second half and gave them room to look good. Our passing was sloppy and we didn't counter as well.

Interesting to see the Palace players reaction. They all looked shocked, worried and perhaps this also effected their focus. Indeed. The defence was fine on Sunday without Sakho because we all knew we wouldn't have Sakho. We also did have Tomkins. Having him carted off on a stretcher is entirely another matter, especially when you are also missing Dann and Tomkins. Please God don't let these men be out for ages. At least Dann should be available again this season. And please God do Thou unto Grujic even as Thou didst unto the Sodomites. Sakho's injury was a bona fide accident but Tomkins' bl**dy well wasn't. Our form had to end at some point. We looked tired and a bit s*** tonight. Puncheon was beyond bad and so was Hennessy (kicking it out repeatedly). Oh well, onwards and upwards!

A great performance by Palace, really. Tottenham looked very beefy, strong and skilled, and we did well to make it close. Sahko getting injured is what beat us and WH just isn't good enough at this level. He has a lot of good aspects about him but he lets in too many shots on target, especially long range, ones 'good' keepers keep out. Well done the lads though, they looked awesome but couldn't beat Tottenham's defenders. Bad luck about Sahko - a definite hamstring and he'll be out for months.

We played like we did at the beginning of the season. We lost our discipline, especially after Sahko went off. Reverted to stupid long hopeful balls out of defense, gave Zaha and Townsend no meaningful service. Totally outclassed in midfield (but somehow you expected that), gave then too much time and respect. It took one great shot to win it but I think it could have been saved (no disrespect to WH). These are the kind of matches we need to learn from and come away with a point. Like SA said, if you can't win it don't lose it !

Fifield's write-up at The Guardian is spot on.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Well if they run the clock down and say we struggled at times ,we can say we did something right . No dramas, back to winning Saturday. Think Sundays game took a lot out of us otherwise we may have done a job on them.
