This site will descend into chaos if we allow posters to continually abuse others by calling them w@nkers because their views and opinions don't reconcile with their own surely? I generally only respond to moderator alerts. That way its someone being genuinely offended, not by own personal views and bias.

Anyway... never mind about calling people Scum.... Since when did it become acceptable on here to continually call another poster a W@nker and get away with it? Clearly Pista has been yellow carded before participating in this thread and has called Painted the W word on numerous occasions without rebuke from a moderator. I have been carded for usage of that phrase and kept my head down for a month.... this bloke seems to be able to get away with it.... Oooh calling for a card - must be a cardable offence. Book him ref! (Oh sh1t and me!)
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

Well the statement didn't describe him as white scum, straight scum or Christian scum. As such its not discriminatory. He could arguably have claimed that it was racist, sexist, religious sectarianism etc, but he'd need to demonstrate that was the case. His options would thus be slander or libel should he seek redress. Bunny La Roche herself can be racist when it suits her. She was a leading light in the International Socialist Network [splinter group from the Socialist Workers Party - oh how the comrades do fall out]. However, the ISN itself almost was immediately riven by dissent. Much of this centred on a row about a sexual practise known as 'Race Play', in which partners of different ethnicity ignore social conventions and - basically - call the black one the 'n word' while having sexual relations. You would have thought that life doesn't really get more racist if not white supremacist than that. The main proponent of this rather bizarre, counter-revolutionary activity was Richard Seymour, the 'leader' of ISN and a close ally of Bunny LaRoche. Bunny has stood by her man - one wonders what he called her if they had any close encounters.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

What people do in private isn't affected by such laws, and if its by consent, then there is no actus rae, no matter how bizarre it may seem.
