Hennessey is being pilloried but apart from the first goal, can one really blame Hennessey for the other 3 ?

Just look at the rank bad defending and the space Januzaj had down the left.Maybe if we had a 4 at the back the right full back might have been in closer attendance ?

The defending was s*** but he's not covered himself in glory for any of them. The keeper needs to be making at least 2 of them.

But we're not playing with a back four. Unfortunately we got caught on the break always a danger when you are chasing a game.

Often the first goal is the most crucial. You can't blame him for any of the goals at West Ham besides the first but we were never losing that game until he ran out like a headless chicken.

Even not taking that into account, I actually think you're wrong.

The second goal he was not in the middle of his goal and with his reach, had he been standing in the right position he'd of tipped it wide.

The third goal again, he may have tipped it into the 6 yard box for another Sunderland player to tap it in but he still should have got a hand to Defoe's shot. Look how wide it was. There was no way that was going near post and only one place he could of scored and Hennessey didn't spot it.

Once again, I agree.
It's all too easy to find a scapegoat when the problems lie much deeper.

gripes me about WH is that he always does the same STUPID dive for every shot. he half heartedly jumps and if you watch him its like he freezes mid air and just hits the floor. Watch the top Keepers in this league, they manipulate their body during the dive to get the best reach. Seen him do it time and time again and he's the ONLY keeper I've seen use this weird dive.

Yannick Bolasie - Glenn Murray - Wilfried Zaha

Most exciting attacking trio at Selhurst Park in years.

Yes I appreciate that.

Funny isn't it ? - Conte goes to a back 3 at Chelsea has success and all of a sudden it has become in vogue in PL and probably lower as well.In England we have got so used to playing 4 at the back in a 4-2-3-1 mainly and to go to a back 3 you really have to have players who can adapt and become comfortable with it.

ALL replays showed it was NOT a foul hence the ref did nothing about it. I watched THREE replays as it happened and it was NOT a foul so get your facts right.
I was watching the game online and had the beauty of seeing all replays of incidents where as you did not have that option.

Sorry, but I saw it live and I've seen it a dozen times since. WH goes to catch the ball and as he does the attacker barges into him and he drops the ball. My only criticism is that he should have appealed for it or gone down clutching his face like other keepers do.

I still say Speroni is not the answer. In his last season in goal, he didn't have a single clean sheet in his last 12 games and kept pushing out shots for attackers to tap in. Funny though - when Speroni lets in a goal its a 'worldie' - for anyone else the keeper is at fault.

Your repeated defences of WH have to be a wind up. He is very error prone and has very little presence or body strength. He is meant to be an elite athlete! Even an untrained eye can see that he should have done better with 3 of the goals yesterday.

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..

Not sure you can blame him for the last 3 goals. To do so would deflect attention away from our other abject failings yesterday.

No it wasn't a foul - Hennessey should have been far more dominating and assertive in dealing with the situation.
That said, I don't think Speroni is the answer at this stage of his career.

I know people will disagree with me but we all have our own opinions and HOL would be very tedious if we all agreed with one another on every occasion.

Pray tell us oh wise one, who is the answer??

Don't start going on about Hennessey until you know the facts, look them up.
I am not defending him, but he isn't the problem, cant you see that.

Cant be arsed to look up the facts. Hennessey, as most fans know, is costing us week in week out...If hes behind the defence, they are s*** scared hes gonna gift the opposition a goal, so he therefore becomes the problem, or at least a major part of the problem. Just wait til we have a decent keeper and see the whole team ethic change
