My better half has been watching the Palace signings with me this January. She has developed her own naming system for them. According to her we have signed: Van Ars@hole

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Trust Palace to sign and parade a player then not be able to play him due to paperwork. I wonder if the same happens at Man U or Chelsea? We certainly need a holding midfielder. Once Cabaye went off yesterday we were left with the strolling Ledley . It was he who lost the ball for one of the goals. I have seen plenty of dross in my 60 years of supporting Palace, but yesterday was just embarrassing.

The only performance I can compare it to is the recent Swansea one. What has happened to our team?

Yesterday was even worse than the Swansea game and that was bad enough. In my opinion we are set up wrong. We need. to do what Sunderland did to us and that is snap and snarl at the oppo. We are too tame and placid. No get up and go and no ambition with no real support for Benteke. Wilf had a spat with the ref halfway through the first half and then disappeared from the game. In fact, at one point I wondered if he had left with many of the punters. A sad, bad day at Selhurst

Has he signed yet? Well, the honest answer to that is, no he hasn't. I just hope that this isn't going to turn out to be an administrative cock-up.

Perhaps he watched the Sunderland match and then was advised to revue the Swansea game as well and is now having second thoughts!
