I take back everything I said previously about Pardew. Well done, Palace. First clean sheet at Selhurst since April. Let's build on this and give Hull a thrashing next weekend.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"

My mate's a Saints fan, and he always tells me that their issue is scoring goals. The fact we had a bit of luck with the Forster howler and their mistake from the corner, meant that we certainly shouldn't get carried away. At the same time: A WIN! 3-0! CLEAN SHEET!!

No, it was definitely thumbs.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Originally posted by Jaha That thumbs up between pardew and parish at the end summed them up perfectly, all buddy buddy. So far in each others bum holes. Good win today though

I don't understand why a manager and a chairman getting on well together is a bad thing. I would have thought a management team from top to bottom is what you seek in a stable club. All working in the same direction for a common goal.

Most clubs in disarray happen because the chairman and manager don't see eye to eye....

Probably going to get thrashed for this, but that was one of our worst performances of the season.
We won due to 2 major defensive errors on their part, and the fact their shooting was just terrible in front of goal.

Stats from the game:

We had 42% possession, 9 shots of which 4 were on target.
They had 58% possession, 17 shots of which 3 were on target.
I know stats dont necessarily tell the the truth, but today i think they do.

On the other hand though, i would say several other games this season we deserved a result and didnt get it, so its swings and roundabouts.

..yep, very sadly he gets too involved and upsets the flow, you can understand it because quite obviously he is a brilliant player but this league takes no notice of someone who used to be able to nip around thinking before most, we do occasionally see it but I feel we see too much frustration from him due to the fact he can't, he should only play when we are not desperately needing to dig and hold on, having him before at Newcastle when he was a bit younger is doing neither any favours.

..their shooting was blocked and pressured away by brilliant defending at the death, that's what I saw although you're right about those goals we did defend properly today which for me was far far more important and we caused them utter chaos the other end when we got our act together.

We were lucky with the 2 goals and if Southampton scored 1st I think that would've been us done again.

But Pardew did use that cushion well in the2nd half but now t so at the end of the 1st half. They were allowed to be all over us.

Instead of going for goals non stop we played in phases and that's how to win points. We need more though next week.

The only stat that is of any interest is the result 3-0. That was by far the most important thing.

In fact we played well against a good Saints side, credit should be given for making them look ordinary.

Do you think Forester would of miss kicked his clearance, if Beneteke wasn't all over him? You make your own luck, it changed the game.

Performance not great but who cares!!!! 3-0 clean sheet thats all that matters. Roll on Hull!!!!! We have a good first 11!!! Bit of confidence will work wonders for us and Pardew. And credit to Pardew today he got it spot on today.

Wirst performances of the season? Bollocks. Since you like stats:

a) there's only one stat that counts. 3 - 0.

b) posts passim regardling Leicester City's posession stats last season. Final position: 1st.

c) defence unrecognisable compated with the shambles we've seen lately.

d) Forster's error was provoked by Benteke's constant niggling and hassling whenever the ball went back to him. Good work.
