Watched on EFL and it was frankly embarrassing. We were dreadful. Back to passing to the opposition, hoofing to nobody, no ideas at all. Only one or two shots on goal in the entire game. Sorry for the poor sods who travelled to support that rubbish.

Any time we accidently got into attacking positions we just passed the ball back and back and back deep into our own half before giving it away to the opposition. Embarrassing to say the least.

Wasn't expecting much, and not too bothered were out. But really dissapointed at players like Lee, mutch, wickham who surely Wantvto impress and just didn't look interested. I think it's the worst I've seen wickham and Lee play. Actually thought fryers didn't do that bad, given a run he could be ok. We seem to have a better first 11 but the overall squad is still poor.

Woeful performance. But I'm not fussed about this game to be honest. I'm when we have Mutch, Sako, fryers and Hennessy starting a game it's automatically a right off. Cabaye not fully fit either. Don't stick Hennessey in with the others, made some fine stops tonight behind a non existent back four. Like I said before Cabaye was a statue tonight which is fast becoming the norm for him.

Lee always looks very tidy, but he doesn't seem to produce a lot. He often ends up going sideways or backwards and he can't cross so shouldn't be on the wing. Wickham looked like he was playing with a hangover and Mutch looks a class below the first XI. Zaha showed the odd bit of quality but he didn't seem particularly fired up. Cabaye was ok but clearly lacking match practice. Fryers will unlikely play for us again. I imagine this was his make or break moment and he looked like an average league one player (in his better moments). The Palace MOTM had to be Hennessey who produced a number of high-quality saves but sadly his is one position where we aren't weak anymore. If Dann is out and Tomkins isn't fit then we have issues on Saturday. Kelly was awful in the centre.

This. Sako and Mutch confirmed what we already knew, not good enough. Sako is so slow and kills our attacks whenever it comes to him, Mutch not mutch better. Dann injury is unfortunate, but he didn't look too concerned sat on the bench so hopefully it's not serious. My only real worry from this game was the awful showing from Wickham. He should be striving to compete for a place against Benteke, but based on tonight, I'd have Campbell ahead of him! Sounds like a man given up. Interestingly Soton had 3 youngsters in their starting line up, one of which scored tonight.

Didn't watch it, and fair enough there were changes. But surely the tactic should have been pepper McCarthys goal from range (Sako, Cabaye, Mutch) with players following in for the spills. We would have won 10-2

Looks like WHU saved themselves in the 6th minute of extra time. So no upsets. Let the rest of the PL teams wreck each other next round.
Makes no sense, why not give Campbell 10 minutes, or let Flamini run around.
