Said it before, say it again, the attack on HF is simply out of jealousy.

'We go to football for football'. Rubbish, and completely misrepresents what the game means deep down in the heart. Yes, on the face of it we go to watch the game. But to identify with something, to live and breath it, to follow a common cause is extremely empowering. If using the platform to make political points too then fine. Saying football isn't political is grossly naive and shows complete ignorance. Ask Boban if football is political. Ask the west Brom lad who gets pelters for not wearing a poppy, ask Liverpool fans who fought for justice for the 96 from the terraces if football isn't political.

To then ask why don't the HF campaign about fcuking rhinos tells you all you need to know about their critics.

I'm no big fan of the face covering. That's it. Apart from that the atmosphere they create is superb and I've never been offended by any political message they've shared. If they turned out to be neo-nazis I'd be for driving them out, but looking at the cross section of who is involved I'm sure that won't ever happen.

You ignore the challenging content of my comment to ask me if I ever talk sense, priceless.Your the one that in some way thinks that 1,000's of neutrals will now think that Crystal Palace and its supporter base want to save Fabric despite it being a couple of kids with a bedsheet at the front of the area where the Ultras stand. It should be funny but because its the usual suspects stick waving once again about something else they don't like about the club its simply tedious. Certain individuals want to criticise everything they can turn into a negative just for the sake of it.Your statement "Personally I think that all banners that relate to anything other than supporting the football club should be banned" is an insight to who you really are and says more than I can say without getting a red card.I would quote Robin Williams last words to J.T.Walsh in Good Morning Vietnam but I don't want to be red carded because of you so I will leave it there.

You are a self confessed football thug so I hardly expect you to agree with the opinions of ordinary decent people

Hold on a minute and go back to my first post on this matter.

I said "I couldn't give a fcuk what they get up to...."

Basically my message was I go to football to watch football first and foremost.... all the other stuff that makes up the day is secondary.

For holding that view it seems that you and other HF obsessives regard me as a Victorian Headmaster, a pant wetter, a tool, a helmet, etc.

I'll repeat my views again just incase anyone is confused.... the HF are at their best whipping up the crowd to join in with songs of support and that is what the Media have picked up on and complimented our fans for (not just the HF but our fans in general).
I don't like or agree with the political messages the HF now insist on displaying but if they want to do them I cannot stop them but just ask them to consider that maybe the majority of Palace fans don't hold those same views but will be grouped in as supporting those views when it's being televised live to the nation and beyond.

In a nutshell I like watching football without distractions particularly when Palace are/were playing well like we were last Sunday.

Can I make one further request?

Cut out the insults on here... we're all adults and it is common practice for individuals to hold opposing views. It is childish and moronic to give personal abuse to another person just because he/she disagrees with you.

Just agree to disagree and move on.

The fact that I was taking the p1ss completely went over your head did it?

Young kids that want to save a nightclub famed for drugs wouldn't even be aware of Rhinos being slaughtered in Africa or care two hoots about it.... that was the point I was making... as a 62 year old I also wasn't aware of "Fabric" or care two hoots about it.

However I wasn't holding up a bedsheet with Rhino written on it in the middle of our game with Stoke.

As I keep saying the HF are a welcome addition to the matchday experience, but cut out the politics and keep on singing the songs, banging the drum, jumping up and down etc.... we love that!

The rhinos along with my rather long post was satire and a bit of a piss take anyone would realise that. If they want to protest about fabric then yes at the end of the day that's up to them but at a game of football completely unconnected to it seems rather odd. Just think about it for a minute if every one turned up with a banner at the next home game with a slogan or a cause written on it which was close to our hearts it would get silly. I also find it a bit hypocritical that the same group of people who complain about sky would use the same corporation to get their message out to a global audience and then a couple of them at the front (if you sit front row your own brain tells yo u the camera might go on you at some stage) get upset when the camera goes on them after the goal was scored. Now you must admit that's a bit bloody odd

You're making a dangerous assumption there Michaela.

I'm not sure what childish abuse they'll target you with... I've already bagged Victorian Headmaster, pant wetter, tool and helmet.

Probably because Rhino's aren't relevant right now to a crowd of 18-25's. However, Fabric IS shutting down right now. So they have the potential to do something about it.. the picture has been shared all over social media and the group have brought a lot of attention to the cause. I don't think "Save the Rhino's" would do much as it's not as specific a cause..

What do the "older" generation do for fun? If they were shutting down that Bingo hall in Croydon, I'm sure the HF wouldn't mind if you waved a little banner.. there definitely wouldn't be a thread about it!!

Firstly, Fabric shutting down affects a fair amount of our support as well as the HF, why aren't they allowed to put a banner up? No one's stopping you from doing the same.

Secondly, bemoaning the banner when there have been loads made. Clearly no one remembers the banner when 7 lads in Croydon got stabbed in as many days, and they called on the council to sort it out. But yeah, what a s***e message that is, and they only stick up fot the youth.

Do you know what proportion of the crowd the 18-25 age group is?

I don't... but I'll take an educated guess that it's less than 20%.

Maybe you should remember that a cross section of our society go to watch Palace across all ages and social groups.

Of that 20% I mentioned above, probably less than 10% of them would be likely to go to Fabric, so we're actually talking about 2% of the Selhurst crowd being interested or concerned about that particular cause.

You ask what the 'Older Generation' do for fun?

Well part of it is following the club you have loved and supported for 50+ years and to be able to watch them win 4-1 at home at a canter without having to have some political demonstrations imposed upon us when all we want to do is celebrate.

I've never played bingo in my life nor intend to start so you'll have to think of another pastime associated with the elderly to try and undermine my argument.

All you are doing is burdening the rest of us with your sad disappointment about your precious club closing... as you get older you'll learn to overcome what life throws at you and bounce back... but you won't if you just dwell on the misery.
