Well we have had fake news so time for old news.

He is not a premier league player proved by his time with both us and Bouremouth.

Yes he had a delightful purple patch for us and will aleays be remembeted for that but that was then.

He always was ablunt intrument and in the Premier league will pick up cards galore.

Nothing to see here move on

I think its a real shame that he got crocked as well in the play offs. I think he'd have had a good season or two in him, for us, in the top flight - and he'd earned it. I was so glad that when he went to Reading he came back and had a decent spell, but he was spent. Even scoring a few you could see his legs were gone, and when he went to Bournemouth, he wasn't able to get into their first team.

I'd love it if he came up with Brighton and got a season in the top flight as their main man, because he's Glenn Murray, and he's one of the main reasons we were promoted that season.

But he's yesterdays man. Part of me hopes he realises that, and signs a good deal with a championship club for next season and can get another great seasons for himself.

I doubt he will. He lives in Brighton and despite being Northern I think he's a Brighton fan. He'd probably accept bench warming for them more than he did with us. Which is fine, I wouldn't begrudge him that.

Banged in his 22nd league goal of the season to help clinch promotion for the south coast mob.

That brings him level with another CPFC cast-off Dwight Gale.

It's amazing how many people on this forum were screaming for the club to be rid of these two.

You are aware they both play in the championship?

Yes I am, thank-you.

Both are also better than 1) Connor Wickham and 2) Fraizer Campbell.

Nobody was screaming for us to be rid of Murray. The offer came in and they took it. The mistake was what the plan was without him but more than that, he wanted to play, and thought he was likely to at Bournemouth, which is why he left there as well.

Everybody was divided over Gayle but he cannot play the lone striker role.

Gayle was incapable of playing lone striker in Premier league, unlike Wickham (when fit) and no-one would buy Campbell

Completely disagree on Wickham.

He has showed on more than one occasion that he's a much better Premier League striker than the other two, and only turned 24 less than a month ago.

Unfortunately there isn't enough evidence to confirm nor deny your assumption. I have my doubts that either of them are better than Wickham, but he has been injured too much to really know that. And I don't know how fit he'll be if/when he ever returns.
