Its not compulsory and if you'd rather remain unaware of actual facts relating to points you post about, that's a matter for you entirely. Yet again, no answer to the questions. We will just have to draw our own conclusions. Perhaps you can plead silence on the grounds that it might incriminate yourself? I think you may have committed quite enough self-incrimination to cover both of us for one evening If and when you ever actually read the immigration rules,do let us know which particular rule/s you think are inadequate (if any) and why.

Kermy only speaks for a minority of people....like the rest of the open door immigration supporters on here. 75 percent in England want reduced immigration....Hell even in Scotland.....It's 58 percent.....That's even with their far left nationalists in charge dibbling out their anti Ukip waffle. They don't even represent the real views of the Scottish on the issue......God forbid what the numbers would be if more foreigners actually wanted to live in Scotland.
We have open door immigration in relation to the EU. So are you now saying you're against 'freedom of movement'? Because that is open door and that's what I'm referring to.
Or is it a one-way street you want? What is your immigration policy then Kermit? Why do we need any sort of immigration controls?
Take it from there really.

In short, on immigration the 'real left'....The 'Corbyn' left if you will.....Which to be honest is the core political position of most Labour activists, they have completely lost the argument on immigration with the British public. The people who actually have to live within the society that they want...the vast majority.... don't like their beliefs on immigration. So what you get in discussions with them is the old, 'wiggling on a pin head'.....arguments around the edges of the issue to avoid the central points......And of course good old fashioned denial. There are some old Labour people who recognise the fact that the working class suffer for these policies and that the only real winners are actually those looking for wage controls and corporations..... but they are drowned out by this bizarre fear within activists not to be regarded as agreeing with Ukip or being regarded as a racist. The left today are in a totally ridiculous position on immigration......Left behind by reality. Edited by Stirlingsays (04 Aug 2015 10.29pm)

Ah, I see. You have qualified it. Now.
Or is it a one-way street you want? No, I'm totally happy for a two way street. There should be no open door immigration that exists between different countries. All it ultimately does is weaken the working class within the stronger economic states.....You see Kermy....On this topic...I'm more old Labour than you are. As for qualifying it Kermy, I'd have thought....considering the current status of our differing immigration rules concerning non and EU citizens that my point was obvious.
The impracticality of that is, frankly, overwhelming. Cliff would have to leave his vineyard in Portugal and return to Surrey 24/7. Oh, and there is also the upheaval of the other 1,999,999 Brits to consider. Is that what you want? Or would they be allowed to stay and newcomers rejected? So family members or individuals would have to stay in the UK and not go and live in a place in the sun with their olds or, perhaps, potential spouses. And the jobs. Who will think of those who won't be allowed to migrate to work long term for companies across the channel even though they are the best qualified for it? The United States of America allows freedom of movement and internal migration. Works for them. We have a United States of Europe now. Can't see the point in trying to restrict movement here myself - very Iron Curtain - but there you go. Or don't as could be the case.

I said, all countries should be able to control their borders. So here's the logic.....Any country can decide who they wish to keep and who they don't. Hence if Portugal want to keep economically useful people currently there.....Which of course they will....Then it is Portugal who decide. As for states rejecting those they don't wish within their countries.....Mmmmm....How is that state of being any different to how what existed before? It isn't......As for the upheaval of individuals who want to stay within countries that don't want them.....Tough. Live within the country of your birth.....If you want to be British then you can still become so....Follow the same rules that non EU residents follow.....Take a six month visa.....Find a company willing to offer you a work visa....Stay here for five years and apply for naturalization....Or if you fall in love with a British citizen and marry them.....Then that always qualifies......Basically the rules before 'freedom of movement'. What's so wrong about that? If an American has to do it...So should a Frenchie. The only situation where I would relax that is in cases of asylum where I would take a set number......This country has always believed in political asylum.

It isn't 'society' you believe in I know that.....I agree with the majority. How it is achieved......Well, that is open to debate.
