The atheists who use condescending phrases to disparage christian beliefs are quite rude and would probably help themselves by being a little more respectful of others' viewpoint. Don't agree but by using terms like 'spagghetti monster,' 'sky fairy' and other cliched phrases its causing antagonism and reflects badly on your own position and argument. Ironically, that has its origins in Robert Anton Wilson, who whilst not a Christian, was certainly a believer in the mystical and preternatural - and a life long agnostic - Originally it was used to debunk not belief, but the idea of the certainty of rationalism as professed by James Randi etc. But usually used by, mainly, atheists on the hol, alongside terms such as sky fairies, in a condescending tone to be disrespectful to those who have a christian, or other, faith. Its not an irony that's wasted on me.

''What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence'' And so the sky fairy is born. The day a single shred of proper evidence is offered up is also the day religion will get more than a bit of eyeball rolling from me. Until that day it is a work of fiction & deserves a place alongside such mythological nonsense as Minotaurs & Chupacabra's.

Of course I do & thats why I am out, It is no more believable than any other mythological creature, you are welcome to believe in what you like but a secular society is what I desire. We have the mad Creationist Parchmore (someone willing to admit that humans walked the earth with dinosaurs yet the dinos all died in the 'great flood' & well Noah...) pushing sermons & testimonies claiming this is evidence & then we have Reborn going for the oppressed Christian angle whilst constantly talking about himself & claiming to have seen god yet (theres plenty of scientific evidence for this) the probability leans heavily on it being flash backs from a past full of drugs. You people are Crazy.

It's a good philosophy by which to live one's life and it brings comfort and a peace of mind to many that without they wouldn't have. That's right. Ringing up Babestation.

Fair enough. I'm not here to change your mind. But dear Lord, what a pointless, meaningless and hopeless society a completely secure one would be. What's the point? The world has turned to s***...(which is prophetic, btw )...I think I'd just give up if I didnt know this world was just a temporary stop.

Anyways, it's by the by. Sun is getting bigger and we will all be toast and ashes in 5billion years whether we repent and believe or not. Suppose God will move on to another planet and interfere with them when that happens. Fickle.

That's if you really want to find it. Which you don't. Firstly, its of the possibility of a god, not a specific god. Its a classic strawman, you cannot disprove the existence of something in a metaphysical argument (or prove it absolutely), you can only attest to critically assess the values associated. So you can definitely prove the possibility of the existence of god, provided you don't attempt to critically demonstrate that god in relation to specific attributes - such as proving the existence of the God of the Bible as presented by, say Catholicsm. Its very easy to demonstrate the possibility of something, that isn't evidence. Evidence requires that you present a hypothesis that is more probable than a null hypothesis (ie you have to demonstrate that its more probable that 'a Christian god' of the bible exists, than doesn't. And that is an entirely different matter.
