It is the politics of ENVY, those that earn more are called Champagne Socialists and such; those that earn less and rely on benefits that Matt does not he will ever need, don't deserve them and are Scroungers those that are different or outside his comfort zone are alien and scary and should "go home". Due to a lack of wisdom if not raw intelligence, I more pity than want to cuss. Based on historic posting I would quote Shakespeare "A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool." This is a lovely example of the type of sanctimonious crap served up by those with clichéd views of the World and the people in it. I do not envy anyone. I do not view all who depend on benefits as a scroungers. I do not believe that I will never need the Welfare State. You can never assume that in life. I am very open to other cultures both at home and abroad. You are a champagne socialist as you enjoy the benefits of a capitalist system but appear to abhor it. And if there is one trait I despise in people is duplicity and people being brazen about that. I have a hide as thick as a rhino and this does bother me but I will point out the inaccuracies posted by those who think they know best.

Yeah, the solidarity of a Socialist who deemed it more important to do DIY work to his ex-Local Authority house, than to parade on strike with his comrades.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Hmm.... I didn't know you lived in Chislehurst. Seriously, you think anyone who has a 'left' ideology has to give up the trappings of modern life? I give a lot of my time to the causes in which I believe in. I give a lot of my time defending and representing others in my union capacities- I'm not financially rewarded for it.

I remember that day- I couldn't go on the march because the selfish teachers at my kids' school had gone on strike and I had to stay at home to look after them...

It looks like, to those not in the Lefty inner circle, that the comforts of modern life such as a nice house, good furnishings and electrical goods, are available to you but your contribution to the cause is turning up when you are able too (baby sitters permitted) and that solidarity equals a 'like' on Facebook with whatever loony tune cause happens in the World because it lessens your middle class guilt. Let us all hope that the revolution happens on a day when you can all have comprehensive child care.

I doubt all those well off social reformers from the Victorian era who lobbied successfully to have some very 'leftist' laws passed to help the poverty stricken and young children forced to work lived on bread and broth and gave up their manor houses to feel the poors' pain. How very dare they, the hypocrites. Didn't they realise to have sincere leftist thinking they had to smell of piss and have two beans to eat for dinner?
