Went to OT this season. Sat in Stretford End with Manure fan friend of mine. Palace fan next to me. I had Palace shirt on (discreetly). No issues at all. Train up from Euston full of London based Manure fans. Apparently chartered flights from Ireland and Norway each home game full of Manure fans.

You only get trouble if you look for it.

I frankly don't care too much, as long as CPFC destroy Manure. We won't get a better chance than this.

Or are unlucky to meet someone looking for it.

Nowhere near enough. The standard of moderating is scandalous these days.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I agree. But "scandalous" is a few steps up from where we were a year ago.

When sitting in the home end is acceptable for an away fan:

When away end is sold out
When the home end is not a sell out

If:

You don't wear away team colours
Dont sing their songs (perhaps even join in unenthusiastically with home team songs)
Cheer / stand up and clap for a home team goal
Stay silent for an away team goal

If these conditions are fulfilled I see no real problem with it.

Let's see how the atmosphere is when the Cantona masks come out.

Oh wait I forgot, you're all Nigel's, you'll just bend over for them.

I'll wait for the standard "go back to the 80's you hooligan" response from the train spotters.

People are either stupid or pretty quick to forget what happened 3 months after that game.

It's about respect. You wouldn't go to Juventus waving a Liverpool flag about.

This 100%. We will get away fans in the home ends and if they are respectful we wont even know they are there. If they start acting like morons they are fare game and will get what they deserve. I will not forget the past for the convenience of the Nigel's who live on a completely different planet to the majority of the rest of us Palace fans and at time are quite embarrassing. If a United fan celebrates near me I will have to clump him out of respect for an old Mate.

= Prison.

At least he's going to the game showing his support, sticking up for his own. You'd most probably hand him in!

Grow up little 'un. Do yourself a favour.

Little 'un? Sonny?

You really do think you're the high and mighty on here don't you? 'Kerms' is it? Is that what your chums call you on here? Life behind a keyboard is clearly all you've got in your pathetic life.

No one on here is a 'hooligan' or a 'thug'. Clearly no one wants it to kick off.

However, if you know your fans are bringing items that are provocative and bring up memories of the violence that happened in the semi-final not long after that game - people will not stand for Man Utd "fans" in the home end. And understandably so.

Know your history.

Bored of this now. You enjoy your prawn sandwich tomorrow old boy.

You just so want that to be true, don't you?

Ah, well.

I can just see you in front of the computer, all alone again, after the pub, watching Millwall fan videos on Youtube wishing how much Palace could be like them until your mum tells you to go to bed.

Have you not noticed that the people who agree with you on here about this and other controversial football related topics (The Hoops) tend to be quite young of mind? Says it all really, doesn't it?

Enjoy your fake hard nut act tomorrow.

Edited by Kermit8 (21 Feb 2014 2.47pm)

Cos anyone who disagrees with you MUST be a Millwall thug who never goes to games don't they? Yawn. Can't you come up with anything original?

I don't have to prove 'how big a Palace fan I am' to someone like you.

Bringing up Celtic again? You really are obsessed with your main team aren't you? I haven't talked about those disgusting bunch of c*nts for a long time.

Fake hard nut act? Again, you know nothing about me but if it brings you comfort to think I'm all mouth and no trousers you carry on.

Just out of curiosity - have you ever kissed a girl? I really can't imagine you get out much, especially with the amount of time you spend on here.

Enjoy your Friday night. In. Alone. On the Hol.

And have fun Saturday at the game, you crazy Nigel you!

I'm going for 2-1 Palace.

Cheers.

How old was you? I couldn't imagine ever losing my love for the team I support enough to follow another. Good choice you made though.

Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature.

The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace.

Also, telling United and Chelsea supporting mates that I can't get them a ticket because I would be stuck with tickets for another game has been quite handy as I wouldn't have wanted to help if I'm totally honest.

My Son would love to go but works Saturdays, with a young famiy, how can he justify to his mrs, day off -£100,cat A+B tickets + exe's circa £200 for one game.X this by the average amount of people who now work Saturdays and there are your'missing' fans.

The game would have sold out weeks ago ago if there was the demand. As it is there are 300 tickets left with only 48 hours to go. No Palace member nor season ticket holder nor their friends are missing out.

So a few man u are scattered around. Unless it was a 100% sell out so what? AS long as they behave. There are some right anal nigels on here. Again.

This x 100000000000000.

If people were so desperate to watch the Palace (and had the means to do so), they would have bought a ticket by now. Why is it that we've not sold out for a single game this year?

I am convinced it is purely because the ticket policy excludes those with a respectable booking history before this campaign to buy unsold seats a few days before but happen not to be members/season ticket holders.

We must have well over 60,000 fans in London alone thinking about how many turned up at Wembley. A lot of those will be the non-committal type who would like to go occasionally I'll bet but without the hurdles.
