f***ing Man City ruining the game for everyone. As if
Bony will even play for them when they have the forwards they have already in the books. Ridiculous.

Not at all. Gomis isn't for sale. Man City take Bony for £30m. Swansea replace Bony then start looking for a back up. Transfer window nearly closes, we come in again with a higher bid, Gomis comes to us, finally, and then SSN go to the Liberty to see another class striker come in.

Rumours of him being unhappy and of a buy out clause keep coming up, despite Swansea saying he isn't for sale.

I am sure he would be more happy if Bony does leave as that will mean he is pushed up the pecking order for games though.

What I mean is it's the game that happens every single window. If we really want him we will get him regardless of what the selling club says at the start of the window. If Swansea get £30m for Bony then not only will they replace Bony but they'll also have enough left over to get a second striker on the way. When that's happening only then will they let us have Gomis and they will squeeze as much out of us as possible.

I have no idea if there's a buy out clause, if there is then surely we'd trigger it if we want him that badly.

Be surprised if the Sun's apparent £9.25m bid and £75k/week wages offer from CPFC has any truth in it whatsoever. AP needs to see what the squad can do. Also, interesting Appiah made the 23 man Ghana squad for AFCON. We have allowed him to develop at Camb Utd and he can score goals. If he does well at AFCON where standards will be higher, then he and Glenn Murray might offer a more realistic solution to our problem. Swans would be delighted with a big fee given they got Gomis for free in the summer. Thing is, would Swansea sell if Bony goes to MCFC for £30m?

If CPFC are genuinely willing to pay £9.25m for Gomis, I would contend that we would have been better off giving Tony Pulis a free reign last summer !

Hopefully just a piece of ' creative ' writing by The Sun

I can see us paying 9.25m for a player, I just don't see us paying 75k a week for someone, unless they're signing until the end of the season (or at most one year). We struggle to justify signing players on 50k a week for more than one season.

One of the tabloids today (apologies, I forget which) reported a £9.25m bid possible from us.

I would be surprised if this happens though. If the rumours of him being unhappy are true, surely Bony's departure opens the door for him to have a run in the side. Why would Swansea sell both?

If that 9 was a 6 I might believe it. Cannot see why Swansea would sell, only if the player is determined to leave and I don't get that impression.

If the Croydon Advertisers says this then....(please complete the sentence!)

If a player commands a £9.25m transfer fee, then he will also command a wage well above our current structure

Whatever about anything else I can't understand how this deal could be on considering it appears Swansea are going to lose Bony to Manchester Sheikhy ? I mean they've no other recognised striker apart from Gomis, right ?

That was the problem with Tony, wanted to be King. Good job they reined in his reign if you ask me.

have you actualy seen him play scoring goals in france is not the same ,its a much lower standard ,for a 29yr who has not proved himself he looks very slow and has a poor touch he barely looks like a 1 million £ player than 7 million £ one +swansea would not get rid of him if he was any good we need somebody better than him ,in my opinion
