They cannot afford to waste time on youngsters, that's our job.
Correct me if im wrong but isnt the only player to come through your academy in past 10 years thats gone on to be a proven player is JT? Mceachran and Bertrand obviously have the talent to succeed but atm dont think can be classed as a very good product yet. Im not saying chelseas academy isnt good but just saying that the reason it may not get the credit it deserves because lately it hasnt really produced anyone of note? Also on a note to what you were saying about profit. Doesnt your profit include the winnings from the champions league? Listed academy products earlier, but Jack Cork (Southampton) and Carlton Cole (West Ham). However accepted it could have been better BUT as I stated the players coming through now are beginning to show great promise and in large numbers (check our players on loan) In terms of profit.Yes in those figures they incluse the Champions League TV money BUT they dont include the massive increase in sales of merchandise and the projected increased revenues from sponsors and companies. Additonally the increased TV revenue will ofset loses from Champions League early exit.
Yeah good shout with the sponsorship/merchandise etc, hadnt taken that into account. Be interested to see how the books balance with the increase in transfer spend/wages and losses of champs league money compared to the money you get in like you say with sponsorship/TV etc. McEachran (middlesborough), Michael Mancienne (sold to Hamburg)as well. Yes its true, as I have stated earlier, that our academy during the early 2000 era didnt produce top players anywhere near as much as it should. However, any in-depth analysis of our academy products coming through now will indicate that there is an abundance of great english talent. Last season we won the U15 premier league tournament, U16 Premier League Tournament and won the FA Youth Cup with predominately English Players. We have a great deal of players representing England (although to be fair that has not historically been a good indication of success) Edited by chelski (15 Feb 2013 11.59am)

I thought that Abramovich had already moved his assets out of Russia? Maybe, I'm wrong. Abramovich being as rich as he is ....Well, that's due to state corruption. The turning over of whole state industries. It was a crime committed against the Russian people when they, so called, went 'democratic', one of so many crimes really....Most of them are insulated against the corruption though as the press there is hardly free. Chelsea's success is funded on the back of money that would have been criminally gained if that had happened here. But to be fair to Chelsea it's similar to what goes on with lots of foreign cash that enters London...From the Middle east, Africa and Russia/Eastern states.
The Daily Telegraph is owned by a Russian - wonder why their World Cup bid was never questioned but Qatar's was?

To a team like Luton at this moment, we are like Chelsea. If we actually do achieve prem football...sadly the likes of Clyne, Moses, Routledge, Zaha, Scannell, Gordon, Salako, Shaw, will find it hard to be given early precious time on our pitch, especially if we are struggling.
.......has our coach driver done a Poo'yet, without thinking about Gus! |

It's the main reason behind Chelsea's success. It's worthy of comment in a situation where a fan has been waffling on about how great their club is. Your success is built upon injustice at the end of the day....Not that I'd expect the vast majority of Chelsea fans to care about that...Though some would. Besides we don't have to pass your 'relevance' test to post on here, thanks.

Oh Dear The thread is about Palace being beaten by Chelsea 5-1 and not being announced on our website. It has moved onto how good your academy is, how good our's is, how bad your's is, how bad our's is, what a great club Chelsea is, what a s*** club our's is, what a great club Palace is and what a s*** club your's is. It moved onto other issues. If you want relevence to the thread, thank you for pointing that out, I didn't know you had beaten us 5-1 away from home, you have done a good job in informing us all. I was just talking to Stirlingsays - is that okay with you? Edited by Azerbaijan Eagle (15 Feb 2013 12.13pm)

Chelski, You haven't - you've taken me too literally, however by coming on here you are inferring your superiority and as such belittling us - no one likes that do they? I have live in Azerbaijan for 15 years - I know how the system worked - injustice doesn't come close. Parish has an advertising agency,Long sold insurance, Hosking is a highly intelligent city trader and Browett used to drive a van for a wine merchant and basically now sells wine. None of them have ever had anyone imprisoned because they are an unelected Governor of a State that is part of a federation who endorse the murder of people by exposing opponents to that regime to unhealthy doses of radiation.
