Cold January Friday night back in 1975 (Charlton away). - for those of a younger age- back in the day , the nicking of fans scarves (whether they be friend or foe was of no consequence !!!) was all the trend!! Anyway back to the story, we of course denied having any such scarve ( also the scarves were made of a type of silk - so you could conceal them on your person). He subsequently looked at and then exclaimed with delight and shock “ Their Palace!!!! Ffffffffffing get em” With that, my mate went one way ,and I went the other !!!!
