The way would be to have proper passport checks in Britain. Every time I fly over there are no checks at all - which I find laughable. And I am talking about a lot of times travelling between Britain and Ireland. No disrespect to NI but I don't think that is most immigrants' preferred destination. That being the case, no real need for a hard border in Ireland. Just actually have checks in Britain - every other country I go to does - including rigorous ones in Ireland on the way back. I presume Customs and Borders or whatever it is called these days, has been the victim of cuts. In my opinion, this is a direct cause of a lot of illegal immigration. Exactly my thoughts on the border nonsense regarding people. And technology can take care of a lot of goods away from ‘the border’, but this isn’t complicated enough for the EU or enough of an obstacle so the problem must continue to be a problem. A friend of mine was travelling around Eastern Europe in about early 2001 I think and Lunar House in Croydon was well known then. Good luck to them individually but I agree that there’s probably quite a few people who’ve been in positions of ‘power’ responsible for this. But now we’re told because people do a particular job (politicians) they know how to do it and they should be trusted to be left alone to do it without questioning. These trusting people must be a mechanic or tradesman’s dream.

That money will have to fill the gap left by not having free tariffs and subsidies, it could even cost more than that when you consider the cost of new regulations and systems, the total bill for our transition taking everything into account could be astronomical. And more to the point, who says we cannot fund our NHS for whatever amount necessary anyway? Populist garbage politics.

Oh well maybe tomorrow. Yes. We declare war on Ireland and make it part of the United Kingdom so there would be no problem any more
