Yep, got no problem with that at all, but it does highlight a few deficiencies in our transfer activity.

I think we all agree there is room for improvement in that respect. I do feel that the club are going in the right direction and have realised this, however the strategy of "regenerating" the squad with proven premier league quality players that are cast offs (Tomkins, Kouyate, McCarthy, Ayew and even Cahill) has served us well.

actually it does mean something...and its quite simple really...however well a club is doing, or however much money has been spent there will always be unrealistic ungrateful fans banging their drum about some sort of perceived misjustice.

Here’s a valid criticism about the food. Pies should come with a heat warning for the filling. From the outside they look tame but on the inside they’re like a volcano of gravy for anyone who rushes it. Yeah all that money the shareholders announced was going to happen and be finished in 2021 and positions unfilled for cover on a repeated basis. We’re so ungrateful aren’t we, what with them being billionaires and a major reason they came in.

We could be debt free, cash flow positive and in the top 10 come the end of the season. The squad does have major issues that will take money to fix but finances and stature like that would offer a little hope. Edited by Ginger Pubic Wig (26 Feb 2020 4.20pm)

There have been plenty of cases where people have been awarded money for coffee being too hot. I always wondered what they expected coffee to be: lukewarm?

Our recruitment IMO over the last few windows has been a complete shambles apart from a couple of good bits of biz. With huge amounts of money at stake for me this is the one area we must get right sooner rather than later! Having seen our new recruits play after their first two to three games we were all divided over how well they were doing ...now imagine being a scout and watching them play you'd too be a little excited and a little bit concerned at the same time so what would you do? I remember at Chelsea Sorloth scoring a great goal but for it to be I think offsided by someone else even now fans want Meyer to be given more time to show what he can do because even I admit he has looked promising at times, very similar to Bannan, We can only scout and look at young promising players who are not actually playing in this very competitive league because we simply cannot afford to buy them and why would they want to come to us unless they have flaws that need ironing out which instantly makes them a gamble doesn't it, players that are able to perform in this league are only attracted to us through loans or older age because we can only sensibly achieve above middle status Wolves and Everton on a lucky day...new young exciting players sometimes work out and only then it's for a very short period ....AWB! ..if Moyes hadn't taken over from Ferguson I'm pretty sure Zaha would've been a hit there.

I suspect not too much dividing of opinion amongst supporters of W.Ham, Newcastle and A.Villa over their recruitment in the strikers department. Haller, Joelinton and Wesley cost a total of some £107 Mill and have scored a total of 12 PL goals this season.
