Zaha was booked for the incident with Prowes because he went over to him for an argument, the Burnley incident didn't involve the player who fouled just the linesman, but he still should've been booked, no question.
Zaha was sent off because he ridiculed Marriner and Prowse, which was totally due to Marriner and prowse's incompetence.
Zaha was just too good for both of them.

Barnes foul mouth abuse of the linesman was far worse than a bit of hand clapping, but if you feel different.

I beg to differ. I think Prowse was just too good for zaha. Did an excellent job of winding him up and getting him sent off...

It has been suggested it’s a race issue, why Zaha isn’t getting protection from the refs in the media.
Why did he get a red card, whilst Barnes at Burnley had his face right in the linesman’s face shouting obscenities for not giving a foul and he wasn’t even booked.

It’s because we only have one player on that level like wilf. Chelsea have several world class players. No team will stick three players on hazard and leave willian unmarked

If or when wilf moves to a big club he’ll not get put upon as much anymore

He had until 6pm on Tuesday to respond to the charge - my understanding is that he's asked for a personal hearing, so a regulatory commission will sit and hear mitigation, Wilf will be legally represented almost certainly. Diego Costa's hearing was a couple of weeks after the charge - so these things can take a wee while to organise.

........as much as Wilf??

Players who are quite often compared and it’s a question for the older fans I know, but although I was around at the time and I do remember quite a lot of those halcyon days, I’m struggling to remember whether Vince used to cop it like Wilf.

I’m sure he must’ve done, especially in a time when it was generally much tougher for the skilful players, there was a few more thugs around who got away with a lot more. Or maybe he was just so fast they couldn’t even get near him to kick him.

Was very different times back in the day. Tackles were probably harder and more obvious.

Players got up and got on with it rather than rolling about.

Did Vince complain as much? No.

So that's a potential one match ban in addition to the one match ban he's already served?

Just seen this. It’s not clear if this is in addition to the automatic ban for the red card though, unless I’ve missed something.

If it’s just the one then the committee have taken the mitigating circumstances seriously.

It’s not clear if it means an ADDITIONAL match or not. I would imagine, though, that this means just ‘one match ban’ and the fact he has served that already is beside the point.

People come on...of course it's an additional ban. He served a 1 game ban for the double yellow sending off, as standard but that is a seperate charge to this one. This is for the additional charge of improper conduct that the FA has given him for the way he left the pitch. Either he accepts it and is banned for West ham or he contests it and is banned for next week if it fails (which it will).

I assume if we wait until Sunday to answer the charge then he will be banned for Doncaster?
