Well reform are my new home tbh. It’s the natural home for all those who share the kind of views held by Braverman. I think it’s a welcome and honest development. It will flush out those who unrealistically, in my opinion, believe that the Tories can regain power by shifting to the right and ensure they make a concerted effort to retake the centre. It will take them a while to rebuild, maybe more than one parliament, but it can, and must, be done. In the meantime we will doubtless hear a lot of noise from Farage and Reform.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Having a view is honest. I am not ashamed to be right wing nor should I be. Obviously you would think otherwise but that’s understandable as you are only one step down from god !

I am an atheist, so cannot be one step down from something I don’t believe exists. There is no way I would ever seek to be one step down from he who so many seem to believe is God! You might have noticed, in other threads, that I am not a sycophantic fan of Trump. You are, of course, 100% entitled to your view and honest to admit to it. The number holding it need to have their voices heard and counted. But so do all the rest.

As are all the USA voters who support Donald Trump, of course. ie an electoral majority if the predictions are correct. I do feel sorry for them, however. If only they were all members of HOL, they would then have access to your ramblings and so would be persuaded to change their view on what they think is best for their own country.

The 'Mood music' is that Suella is losing traction amongst her fellow Conservative MPs and that the chance of her becoming the new leader is somewhat slim, indeed it has been suggested that she might not have sufficient support to enter the race.Time will tell of course! For avoidance of doubt I am an avid supporter of Suella Braverman . Edited by Willo (20 Jul 2024 9.35am)

There’s plenty in the USA who think as I do, but events are getting in the way of reason at the moment. That combined with the unworldliness of many sections of US society and the intransigence of Biden is producing a unique situation. Hopefully the events are not yet concluded and the lucky Trump tide is about to turn.

Will you, and your chums, continue to support and campaign for the Tories if they decide to occupy the centre political ground, rather than try to occupy that now held by Reform? Or will you defect?
