Seems damn logical to me I think the council housing stock has to remain the same size/numbers so they won't take money, they want a house for a house.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I see that the club is now encouraging us to comment in support of the new stadium on the council website. I posted earlier in this thread that I tried this and I could not do so as the website restricts comment to people in certain categories. Being a Palace supporter is strangely not one of them! So unless you are a neighbour or member of the Residents Association I don't think that you can comment. Anyone else tried so far? Anyone can comment.

Probably a Charlton fan. I noticed one objection from someone in Bermondsey, ha ha ha. And one from Sussex. Jealous, no doubt.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

You're completely missing the point here. If a development requires the demolition of residential property, the developer is required to new build the same number of, at leat, equivalent houses in the borough, not buy up existing properties and hand them over, or indeed give the council the money to build the new houses. The club has to obtain the land, get planning permission and erect six new builds. Not for the first time Dave! Thanks for taking the time to explain.
