Anyone who loves democracy should be very unhappy today. Johnson has been beaten down by elements of the Remainer/Leftist media who wish to dictate to the rest of us. A combination of ambition, resentment and naivety in the Tory party has caused it to turn against him. The only losers will be us the plebs because Labour are now stronger. There is no good candidate to replace a man who achieved so much in such a short time. I don't like the modern Tory party in many ways, and this is another massive own goal by them. Shades of the disgusting campaign against Donald Trump. We have to ask ourselves who actually decides who rules? Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (07 Jul 2022 11.08am)

Jesus. Brexit is done, why can't you let it go. It is no longer in the UK's hands even if 100% voted to rejoin. Hopefully the UK can now forget popularist presidential PMs, and get back to something closer to democracy.

Johnson leapt on the Leave bandwagon with every expectation that it would lose in 2016 but cement his standing with the mainstream of the Conservative Party. He had no real principled stance on it other than what was good for him. And after having Gove pull his 'et tu' moment on him, was largely relegated to the side lines until May blew the election in 2017 and then the Remain Retards came into full voice trying to over-turn the referendum result. By the time it got to December 2019, I was so angry with the post-2016 ref Remainers that I no longer cared about who I voted for, as long as it delivered the result of getting Brexit done. As simple as that. So willing to put my hands up and admit I played my part in getting this moron into number 10. But I also lay the blame for that equally at the feet of any and everybody who tried, by fair means and foul, to have my vote in June 2016 rendered null and void. Cause and effect. The Johnson showed his true colours, allowing the current Mrs Johnson (and I expect her to be out the picture within 18 months at most) to effectively take control of his bollocks and impose a load of Green BS on us all, along with promoting her friends and alienating the smartest people around him. His utter lack of leadership around those Downing Street parties means he does not deserve to be running the country. The most stringent place in the UK for sticking EXCATLY to the rules during that period should have been Whitehall. His domain. As to the actual incident that drove the final nail in the coffin, then I see it as just tawdry froth. But it was enough. None of this reflects well on any of us who take any kind of interest, and are willing to spout off in public about it, in politics. Lets see what happens next.

Thats a shame, I was enjoying him throwing money at us to try to win the public over. If he held out a little longer he probably would have bought us all iPhones
