So Mr Dyson, a very vocal cheerleader and sponsor of Brexit is now moving out of the UK and relocating his business in Singapore, just before the Brexit s*** storm happens. Go figure Do as I say not as I do? Not surprising really as all of the most recognisable Brexit exponents are only looking after their own interests He moved his manufacturing to Asia in 2003. He is now moving his head office which consists of 2 people. Of course he is looking after his interests the same way as the big multi nationals who love the EU because they can park their profits in tax havens whilst paying low wages to their staff. I don't blindly believe everybody on the Leave side and I would hope you do the same on the Remain side.

Is Dyson moving to the EU? No, so presumably he still isn’t pro EU?

The major mouthpieces who seemingly speak for the good of the nation and the man in the street about how we should leave the EU seem to be rich billionaires. Have They suddenly become conscious men of the people or perhaps have other ideas which involve benefitting from the downfall? I wonder....

I am a great admirer of Mr Dyson I do not believe this move is anything to do with Brexit, as I believe he has also said (I didn't see any headlines when he moved other parts of his business to Singapore over the last 10 years or so) but hey don't let the facts get in the way of your anti-brexit stance

It isn't 'another part'. It's a bit of a coincidence n'est ce pas? Maybe not an ideal time for such a 'coincidence' to occur given his influence on the current political situation. It's not like he would have gone bust by delaying such a move.

‘Rowan said Dyson would “continue to pay tax in the UK”. Weybourne Group, through which Sir James holds his business interests including Dyson plc, paid £185m of tax in 2017, according to accounts filed at Companies House. Dyson, which reported record annual profits of £1.1bn for 2018 on Tuesday, has already shifted the vast majority of its production to Singapore, and has announced plans to build a new electric vehicle plant in the city state. The factory is scheduled for completion in 2020 and is part of a £2.5bn investment in new technology. ‘The company said some of the investment money would be spent in the UK, where it employs 4,500 people and has a research and development campus. Dyson employs a total of 12,000 people worldwide. Relocating the HQ will not lead to job cuts in the UK, the firm insisted.’ Great headline though, Pussay. I make that tax rate somewhat 'interesting'. I am not sure this statement is a wonderful defence of Dyson on that basis. As Dyson is growing, it's not too hard to avoid cuts in the UK. Likely the growth in employment will be focused outside the UK from now on.

It's actually just two employees who are moving Yes, that is understood. Nevertheless, this is the Head Office. Now why would that be done? Hardly going to save money on compensation is it, salaries in Singapore are very high.
