They are the subject of endless debate and a major driver of politics. The riots are new and now. Seeking to deflect the discussion on dealing with the riots by trying to discuss one particular societal problem, as perceived by some, is to seek excuses. Those doing so would not accept a group of far left activists rioting and try to excuse them by suggesting they had societal problems. I have no doubt that there are people struggling and feeling lost. They deserve sympathy and help. They don’t all join riots though. Those that do should not be excused.

If you watch some of her other videos you will see she condemns the rioting without any caveats.

To then talk about the completely different subject of the up and down progress of the working class and allow the perception they are linked to be formed is mischievous political comment.

This will no doubt be debated in parliament and elsewhere in the months to come but not all disaffected working class people rioted as a result of social media influence.
