Of the teams at the bottom Everton is the team that I would like to see relegated.

Not Champagne, but an excellent bottle of (Austrian) wine this evening. Tks very much for your continous analysis since the beginning of the year. Your posts were among the most sensible and put things into the right perspective. Edited by Hannes (08 May 2023 6.15pm)

In watching this Everton game, it is staggering the lack of effort or urgency with a Brighton team having a chance for Europe. You'd be hard pressed to guess which team was in a relegation fight.

Funny how that's soon forgotten. We also failed to beat them at Selhurst Park a couple of weeks ago, and they got a useful draw away to Leicester last Monday. Meanwhile Leicester have collapsed. Nevertheless Brighton's performance is staggering. Someone mentioned that they are going for Europe, but despite a difficult run-in after today, Champions League qualification was still possible going into today!

That team had an outside chance of ECL. Now they do not. Surely that's something to cheer? When an old rival gets stuffed at home so far as I go it's wonderful news.

Forest 2 up in 20 minutes. They are quite a force at the City Ground. (as we know unfortunately, Zaha missed pen.)
