The government are offering £350 for anyone putting up a refugee for a MONTH! This should be for a week, minimum! They pay £200 a night to house someone in a hotel, but offer £12 a day to the public, who will be expected to feed the refugee and use more heating and hot water, unless Gove expects them to go without, its one thing after another! They will blame the public for not allowing more refugees in, saying where will they go? Well. i have a couple of ideas, firstly, put them in those temporary covid hospitals, and secondly, with hm permission which im sure she would be happy to grant, as shes now permenantly in Windsor, put them up in buckingham palace. 350 rooms, all together so easy to do the paperwork, and great pr for her majesty, who, did not deserve a nonse in the family! In fact, lets cut randy some slack, let him bring up the breakfast at 8 am, to each room, no lift allowed, call the refugee sir or madam- with a strict no touching rule! This should keep him busy, and out of trouble, we don"t need him slipping out in the dead of night around windsor, the police have enough on their hands than to covertly follow him around town. If we stop having to accommodate the economic migrants who cross the Channel, we would have more accommodation available for these genuine refugees.

Wait until the first of April and check your fuel bills! Its not about profit, but £350 a month clearly isn"t enough, lets hope we aren"t next to flee their country-nobody would have us ! I suspect, many people would do this for free. Just waiting for Lily Allen and Linekar to stump up some space

She got no support from the government but from a charity and she started work 2 weeks after arriving.

Ensuring the undesirables are screened out will be a huge challenge. There will be mistakes and horror stories for sure but when facing this kind of humanitarian crisis we have to accept that. I hope we do a similar thing to the way the city children evacuees were handled in WW2. Local committees were formed to supervise and monitor. They will know where the pitfalls lie. They might all look like busybodies from the WI, but they could perform a useful role.

With Biden as president, and after last year's Afghanistan withdrawal, Putin knew that the west would not go to 'Go get 'em' - Biden you are lying through your teeth.

Yes, probably spider, and if we hadnt caused shyt in Iraq and the like they would still be herding sheep back home! And yes, that was Tony Bliar, but we were partly responsible, so have to take the medicine.Nobody should prophet out of taking refugees for sure, but they shouldn"t lose money either, in case they want to which is very generous. The more money offered, the more chance of not getting in debt with your living costs, the more refugees accepted!win win-unless the government aren"t realy that interested and are only responding to the criticism of priti and Liz.
