If Roy's post match interview with SkySports is anything to go by he won't be getting dropped anytime soon. "He's trying his best". Come on guys, he's trying!

Maybe he'll get a few for Belgium to kick start his season.

The sad thing is that this was said many many times over a year ago. page 4 "Ran around like Bambi all game. He’s a unit and should terrorise defences. Instead he lacks sharpness and any sense of purpose. Won a few headers but other than that pretty much a passenger. I would like to see Sako tried out, more effort and spirit." Will we be having another 130 pages or so saying the same thing ?
“ [T]here are known knowns; there are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say there are things that, we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know. ” |

Sadly Roy is too worried about denting benteke confidence even more if he dumps him. Sorloth or ayew are better than benteke at the moment. They ain’t great but benteke is utter useless he has a over a year of bad games and countless missed opportunities. It’s time for him to be benched whether it hurts his feelings or not bla bla. He hasn’t scored for ages he has no confidence and he needs to see someone else in his position scoring goals to snap him out of whatever hole he is in and earn his place back in the team. Simple football tactics. Surely Roy you can see this. Hang on.... is benteke sleeping with Roy? Now it makes sense

Effort and desire doth butter no parsnips without a quark of ability. Last season didn’t he miss more predicted goals than anyone else in the league? Why is he so convinced that’s going to change if he leaves him in the team. This isn’t a new problem.
