When I asked him who was going to pay for all of the hair brained corbyn policies he said well the rich of course. So I asked him what he classed as rich in terms of salary? £50K he says.

I'm earning that. Am I rich? No response. He has not worked for 10 years and has instead sponged off of my daughter, and us as we wont see her struggle.

They are what I call the liberal elite who have no idea what is coming when labour get in. I'm sure they will be moaning like f*** as they bring in policies that hit them.

I really think you should punch him hard in the face tbh. Sounds like a real t*** !
Stop the gravy train as well because when you do that he may get off his arse.

This is a common problem, how do you look after your child whilst not funding the lifestyle of the despicable other half.

It sounds about right, no clue and no care just as long as it doesn't affect him. You have a good attitude towards your daughter it's a shame she didn't match better.

I get the frustration but family requires diplomacy. He's not a boyfriend, he's married in.

It's a lot easier to break a family apart than keep it together. Fragmented broken families are a disaster.

We don't always get the perfect situations and that's how it goes for most.

Labour will find a way to make it very difficult to get voted out. They may change the ID rules or just talk to the dems about how trump only had one term. Dominion anyone!

Have they ever done it before? I know the Tories tend to benefit from boundary changes, but please provide examples of labour gerrymandering.

I see them more as petty, local level corruption with backhanders from housing developers etc.

Are Notting Hill, Four Weddings and Love Actually amongst your favourite movies Silver?

I can't help but get the feeling that your admiration for the 'New Labour' Blair years (something I couldn't disagree on more) isn't going to be anything like what's coming.

He ruined the country in several aspects, probably permanently....certainly generationally.

More a Seven Days in May and Manchurian Candidate kind of guy. Yeah, of course my retrospective specs are rosy, but I do recall a positive vibe in the air and more money in my pocket during those terrible days of New Labour (who, incidentally, I did not vote for).

Moreover (and I have read enough of your posts to know this is not you) there are dyed in the wool Tories (including on here) who go on and on about the horrors of Blair and New Labour. Under what tree have they been meditating for the last 14 years as this nation has been brought down, at times to laughing stock status.

Well love is blind I guess. Although this guy seems like he loves himself and money more than his wife and her family ! In this case cruel to be kind might be the way. Sorry badger but you and your mrs worked damned hard to get in a position to help and it’s admirable but your life is as important as others and mentally it must be doing a number on you.

Good films, with the some relevance then as now.

Yes, those days were certainly heady compared to now....though they were storing up problems for later (wars, globalism, housing, immigration, free speech restrictions).

Still, when it comes to being rational the Blairites....who as we know were centralists certainly beat the last 14 years.

The Tories couldn't even boss the civil service around, who had so much power they could get rid of ministers.

I also agree that....while I won't punch right...that my fellow brethren of the Hol right certainly have far more patience with this non conservative Tory party than I ever could.

It probably comes from a place of 'house price' conservativism and voting for the least worst option.....but to me at least it's far more a uniparty than anything else. Everything they fear is coming regardless of whether it looks blue or red.

At the moment I don't really have anyone to vote for.

Lefties hate the traditional nuclear family. Especially with the dad as the main breadwinner & a stay-at-home Mum.

Lefties like single parent families, artificial insemination for LGBTQ types, the Taxpayer as principal daddy to kids, and the newly coined 'blended family'.
Lefties love to champion the virtues of 'strong single mothers' even though all the statistical evidence points to them often being a total trainwreck. For just about EVERY measurable metric.
