This talk about settling for where we are is like wishing the pandemic to continue. Don’t you want to go out and have fun with your friends? What’s the point of continuing the PL to ‘entertain us’ if it is just about ‘staying alive’. I’ve had the joy of supporting our loveable club since 73 and being introduced through a manager who managed to keep his job whilst getting relegated in successive seasons. I don’t remember being bored, although I was young, but i know i got hooked. My kids are just bored because we are stuck, like we’ve seen us stuck before in other divisions. I can live with that if we at least go after one trophy but it doesn’t seem part of the plan. I love the Leicester chant “oh Jeffrey Schlupp he’s won more than you”. It’s true. I’m sure SP wants it as much as the rest of us so can we please just try and win a trophy or at least scrape into Europe before we all die... and if we get entertained popping up and down on the way... well isn’t that the club we all love. Cant take any more of this. I’d like the pandemic to end please.

Tonight was a tipping point for me. Why set up with 3 up top and a defensive midfield. With 3 up top we still managed zero shots on goal. You can't set up so negatively as once you go 1 down there is no plan B. The players just looked like they could not be bothered. That must have been a reflection on the team talk. What did Roy say 'Don't worry lads we don't fancy a cup run this year.' It is not the first time we have had no shots on target in a game either. Its just dull. I would rather go down fighting than simply surrender.

This turning around, bending over and removing our pants to knees length asking the opponent to come get some from our 74 year old orifice without a fight is pure BS. We even tell the opponent to not bother with the grease. This is not why I became a palace supporter. And was on the verge of opening a fan club in my town based on the history and genetics of our past conquest. Will NOT be doing that with the dross we are forced to endure under RH. No way. Was called a football ignorant yank on this forum for voicing this, will just clarify - Im anything but. I know fossils when I see them. RH (Bless his heart) is one, that lives on happenstance every once in a while, to just get by. Am just about done

The longer Roy stays, the longer we will continue to stagnate, the longer we will continue to not draw top talent and the likes of Zaha will go... When Zaha goes, we will see him flourish elsewhere.... when Roy goes, we will see anew side flourish... We will realize that we truly wasted the best opportunity we ever had to have exciting, fun football led by Zaha.
This was once a quality forum.... |

As soon as I saw how Roy had lined us up you knew it would be 1-0 or 2-0. I was prepared to back Roy until the end of the season out of respect. Last night has eroded that respect

It’s not just watching Roy’s drossball that irks me but his post match interviews when he claims we played well and were unlucky. It’s time for Parish to act and pull the plug

Groundhog Day. Same circular comments one year on. If this club is to progress Hodgson must go, if the club's raison d'être is to enjoy lower table survival with no cup runs or hint of Europe then he stays. What is the ambition of the club? Hodgson has done no better than Pulis despite having his "best squad".

Roy will not be getting sacked half way through a season where we are not in danger of relegation. The big question will be is he going to get a contract extension? If he happens to finish the season strongly then there is every chance that he will be kept on, especially if Parrish doesn’t have a suitable replacement and at this moment in time none of us seem to be able to come up with suitable replacement options.
