This HF group has positioned themselves as an elitist bunch, who expect the club to move longstanding season tickets holders out of their seats.

Doesn't look elitist IMO. Looks like multiple supporters groups backing the inclusive proposal. 2K people liked the HF statement on twitter Nearly 5k signed the petition. I have to admire the HF's determination to not give up with this. I hope the club will take notice and investigate what is feasible, bearing in mind people have come forward and said they would be willing to move to help make it happen.

They need quite a few more to catch up with the 320,000 who signed the petition to abolish the tampon tax. As a matter of interest I wonder how many of the nearly 5,000 were genuine Palace supporters and of them I wonder how many signed it multiple times

Do Palace fans have to do an official march up the Holmesdale Road before you believe that thousands are in favour of this?

If it isn't, then why should anyone else move. You can have a million likes - but if season ticket holders don't want to move, I'm not sure want else you expect short of forcing.

The whole point of the site linked in your post is for fans all over the ground to voice their support for the switch, including those who currently have season tickets in Block E. If 200-300 of them are happy to move, will the club act? That's the overall aim.

I was watching the DVD of our promotion season last night. It occurred to me how times have changed in the last 5 years and perhaps all our memories have faded a little on what things used to be like. Pitch with real grass and bare patches in goalmouths My point is that the atmosphere was great without HF visibility and that flags, drums etc are a relatively recent thing. Perhaps the HF haven't been quite as influential for as long as some have portrayed on here. Can you still have a good atmosphere without such formally organised groups as long as the team are winning?

The Fanatics have been an active presence at Selhurst for 13 years and were definitely a constant force throughout that promotion season. This video is from Cariff at home in 2012.

Many of those supporters writing to us pointed out that they had been in their seats since the stand opened and were strongly opposed to what they saw as them being forced out of their seats" The club felt that it would have been not only disruptive but very unfair to forcibly move long-standing season-ticket holders out of their seats to accommodate the HF, besides this would have generated ill-feeling towards the fanatics. Edited by Willo (12 Sep 2018 6.33pm) I know this! but did they ASK them before the leak? I think not.

Perhaps they were first trying to establish whether such a move would adversely impinge on the ground's safety certificate, without which no-one would get to see any bl**dy football at all! Would seem a sensible thing to before asking the fans.
