I have honestly got to the stage wheee I couldn’t give a flying f about BLM, who is racist, who isn’t racist, who stabs and shoots who on the streets, who wants a statue, who doesn’t want a statue, who wants to blame everyone else for their own problems, who couldn’t give a damn either way. Why? Because no one seems to give a damn about me so why should I about them.

It’s time to look after number 1 I reckon. Screw the lot of ‘em.

People who write and like to say this - totally miss the point and tend to either ‘consciously or subconsciously’ feel uncomfortable with the notion of Black Lives Matters being vocalised or presented visually to them.

The when people feel they are being viewed as racist if the talk about racism says more about the individual than the points they are putting across.

It’s been very interesting and fascinating observing posters comments across the many months on Hol as a black male related to the topic as whole.

There has been a lot of ignorance without individuals even realising their ignorance or narrow mindedness.

Not a racist bone in my body mate so you can save your sanctimonious lecture for someone else. I just believe everyone black white brown male female young old middle-aged fluid gender gay and all the others , should be treated the same without fear of reprisal or insult .

There are a couple of groups who do, you just won't hear about them in the mainstream media.

Missing the point

You don't need a White Lives Matter or All Lives Matter philosophy as in general people don't get racially abused for being white

Trying to drown out the voice of BLM has become a sport. So many conservatives saying it's really not a problem, don't know what all the fuss is about blah blah blah.

White silence. Pernicious. What you blind yourself to you don't see. Ask a youngish black man about their experiences, especially from poorer backgrounds.

This is true.

BLM didn't set out to cure all ills relating to people of colour, only to try to raise awareness of continuing injustices

Try Lives Not Knives for example.

I'm sure this is true of you personally, but at the same time he offers a valid perspective too, and I'm eager to counter the repeated 'lets move along now' type posts than inevitably accompany anyone non white saying anything on here. The 'berate a black man'.

One thing I have noticed about some 'all lives matter' types is that the lives of elderly haven't mattered to them during this pandemic either. So the very idea put forward is revealed as a diversion to escape being concerned about an issue or group.

Of course the same could be said about some factions of BLM. That there is an interest in pushing one imagined 'sides' concerns over another, which at its extremes is just another angle to be racist against others. But there are fair arguments and points outside of that regarding injustice or imbalance that get attacked, while those hanging on the words of groups - noteworthy for various reasons - set around other racial identities get a free pass.

You contradict yourself within the same post.

White people are racially abused all the time. You just don't want to acknowledge it.

I see you didn’t read the logic text book I recommended.

They may be the subject of individual hatred but not endemic belittling by a far larger majority

I know you are still sore from a nasty experience as a youngster and I genuinely feel for you on that. It doesn’t change the fact that relatively speaking, on average, it is much tougher to be black than white.

Your first sentence is your standard lame response.

Your second sentence is another contradiction.

As for the rest, well a lot could be said about either but what's the point.

I'd rather state that when it comes to whites being racially abused you were inaccurate.

Do you know many black people from poorer backgrounds or in fact anybody from poorer backgrounds do you currently live on a council estate. The truth is poor people who act like c***s get a hard time from old bill or people whether they are white or black poor people who don't act like c***s fly under the radar like everybody else.

To all BAME on here. Strongly advise you get the jab. Can’t see what there is to lose. They’re bound to want proof before they let each one of us back in to Selhurst. I’d have it just for that.
